    Just getting sorted with young birds now and looking for a basket for training. Al.

  10. If it is a mature bird I would say it is definately not a westy. Looks more likely to be a roller. They are fairly easily homed so you should be able to fly it within a couple of weeks and finding out for sure. Al.
  11. I was visiting Malcolm Brown in Arrochar before the holidays. It was blowing a gale but all his birds were out, must have been 70 or maybe more. What a sight they were, really looked like they were in their element. Al.

    WHITE ROLLERS

    There used to be a boy in Kinross that flew white rollers. Dont know if he still does. Al.

  17. Hi Tam. Its looking better for tomorrow. No wind, a little cloudy but should be dry. I gave the birds a wee bit of wheat today to do them till tomorrow. Al.
  18. ??) Scunnered today. Have been looking forward for a few weeks to letting some late breds I have been gifted out for the the first time. It's been blowing a gale all day. Hopefully better tomorrow. Al.

    Neighbours

    I'm quite lucky here, last year a neighbour came to tell me to be carefull as there was a sparrow hawk on the prowl.

    Our washing line is right beside the loft and I dont think there has ever been a dropping on anything. Al.
  21. Most of these folk with their comments dont realise its the hawks that have decimated the song birds from our gardens, its not just the pigeons that are suffering. Al.

  24. Birmingham rollers, couple of horsemen, show racer c**k, 2 flying Oriental rollers that are being moved on and now 3 latebred racers!! Al.
  25. Up a lot of the fishing boats are crewed by Philpinos now, $600 a month. The boats cant get local lads to go to the fishing now. There are a few Poles and Latvians aswell. The worry is where do the future skippers come from.
