Just to remind a few folk I am still waiting for payment. Some of you have been in contact and I know it is coming. Some havent. Could those that havent please let me know when it might arrive as I am keen to get things rapped up. All the payments I have so far will be posted on Saturday morning so the cheques should be cashed some time next week, I hope this is okay. I am away for 10 days on Sunday so I wont be able to attend to any messages untill I get back. I will try and get an update on Phoebe before I go. The roads up here mean I have to drive 25 miles to give a 15 mile toss. 90 miles for a 55 mile toss. Makes things a bit difficult and expensive!

Thats another 2 back this morning. It turns out one is in the warehouse in Glasgow where the birds were liberated from. Apparently managed to get out the box after someone had a wee peek. Hopefully they can tempt it out soon. That leaves one missing in action. Al.

Hi Dovey. I think so far we are arouind £5300.00 which is tremendous, what a tremedous effort from everyone! I also know there is still some things going on in the background with other members so we may not be done just yet. Al.

Well folks. That wee bit of fun has raised £240 for Phoebe. Red White Blue has donated his winnings, MANY THANKS INDEED. Also one of my suppliers in Glasgow who let the birds go for me today has also put in £20. Not a bad result for a couple of evenings work. Al.

Race is over folks. I put all the names in one hat and the birds in another. The birds were let go just west of Glasgow at 4.15. this would be around 55 miles. First ones home at 5.55 were. 1st place Red white Blue, with a Blue Bar bred by J bambling. 2nd place Gareth Rankin with a blue bar bred from my Wall Lunt and Green pairs 3rd place Chrisss with another Blue Bar bred by J bambling I have 18 home now, hopefully the rest will follow.

I think the race may be on Wednesday morning. I might try and get to Glasgow tomorrow evening and leave the birds with the brother in law for him to let go Wednesday first thing. I will keep an eye on the weather and see how things go. Al.

Hi again folks. As there is still a lot of help being offered to Phoebe's cause I thought I would organise a wee YB race. It will be from around 60 miles with birds I have trained to 45 miles so far. I have 24 birds that will race. It will cost £10- per bird to enter. The first bird home will win £50 for the lucky punter and the rest will go to Phoebe's appeal fund. Once I have all the positions taken I will put the ring numbers in a hat and pull one for each person. I will then hold the race at the first avaiable oportunity.
