Wee extension nearly finished hopefully get it undercoated the morra and we are just about done...It's been a long road back after the fire but we are just about there and can hopefully relax and enjoy our racing this year

Hope the 2nd lot we paired eggs are ok as we built the extension onto the big loft the last couple of days...Not the ideal time to build it but needs must and it does look good now it is finished (just needs undercoated when it is dry enough ) even if i say so masel :emoticon-0157-sun:

swapped 3 pair of stock doos eggs under the yearlings and also an egg from a 10 yr old hen that laid a good egg and a soft egg so the good egg was floated tae all hatched and the yearlings all hatched (1st lot paired) bar 1 pair that that had sat too tight? other lot paired 14 days later all sitting but 2 pair of broken eggs so now sitting dummies but not checked any of their eggs yet and 1 pair of 2 yr old late breds that huvnae settled at the new place at all and still huvnae laid

I'm just back from a weeks holiday in Tenerife and i can see why so many pigeons go missing i seen percy a few times but half the pigeons that hung around the hotel had been hit by percy i was feeding a cracking blue pied hen that looked as if her wing had been broken a while ago but you could see the new feathers on the same wing growing through i seen doos with no tails and others with half their wings missing

Heard a few weeks ago he was giving up the doos...sad to see

Aye that is the old loft of the guy that had the compound before us it must be 50 yrs old but we replaced 1 side of it but it has a lot of woodworm in it but is dry and has a half a dozen pair of doos in it
