Update , make that 7 ! Just found email from yesterday about one with non fancier in Sunderland , think it will be the only record I will hold in doo racing lol.

I lost 8 at the race and 6 have been reported from , Sheffield/Hartlepool /Cumbria / Newcastle / Gretna /Dumfries . What a night mare but I thank all those that reported them and for their help.

Think I,ll keep it then lol . Thanks will phone him today

Now upto 9/16 and they are not flown out tired but not flown out .

Only 1 today injured but will be fine , if he could make it the f,n rest can't have tried very hard but am a bit disappointed 7/16

Still only 6/16 got one just before ten last night , very hard day for first race need to get them up and at it earlier next year and do think the fed should have a Otterburn later in the programme to let us get the later bred doos get a race . Jmo

I have taken a bit of a hammering today with Lanarkshire , the birds are natural and it was their first race but I expected them to do the 117 ok not fast but ok , is there more to my bad race than just a hard day ! When basketing my birds yesterday I picked up a couple and noticed the very slightest of darkness in the wattle so took no chance and left them both at home. The rest looked fine but were they ! today's race has me wondering , The two hens I left have no markes today ? But 4/16 is not good .

117 to me ,now 4/16 first race for mine.

Don't know about anyone else but I have had a stinker 2/16 and it was a toss bird .

10 members in Airdrie club not racing ybs just training , I only sent 16 but have another 40 in the loft and a lot doing the same ,nobody talking about big losses last night , YET .

Good luck mate , enjoy the highs because there is no better feeling in the world , and get over the lows by thinking of the highs . Best hobby in the world .

This bird was brought to me by a non fancier last week in a very sorry state , gave it some honey and electrolite but after a week I had to put down ,sorry , will let someone know where it ended up.

I would also like to thank Tiger for his kind gesture of donating £100 to the first three in the west sect at Maidstone I received my £20 for 3rd , thank you you are a gent .

Birds look great but sadly it won't be long before the first complaints come ,have been there in a new estate and they are happy at first but but the flying rat brigade soon raise their head ,sorry for the glum reply.
