When he finished showing me the birds a young woman offered £3500 for one of his champion birds that were just in pens for show and he kept knocking her back ! Never did find out if he sold it to her .

Spoke to frank at his stall in Blackpool a few years ago and took the time to show me the birds he had for sale and graded them by their throat but also said there are exceptions to all rules and same in pigeons could be that using the theory the highest priced bird he had for sale had not the highest score but at least he was honest .

E told me how to spell it lol .

Beside point lol , if you have had what I and many others have had you would change your own selfish attitude , birds very rarely die of pox , yes selfish of said fanciers but is not against rules but when you get something that is also no fault of yours and f all you can do but watch birds die in front of you then I would take your problem every day .

There is a lot worse than pox going around and at least you can treat pox .no differance from jagging for para several times and told it is just a booster . The vaccines all need to be looked at ! . Trust me you are lucky just to have pox .

There is a major problem del which I am told is noro virus of which I have been a victim but know of several local and a hell of a lot more that have had /have it , including well known fanciers culling whole teams of ybs . Thankfully mine are one the up but it's been a painful time .

The lurgy . Plain and simple , you would not believe the amount doo men been in contact including nat winners and have had to cull most if not all ybs , watch as season progresses.

This is my point and reason for post , if the vaccine is for 12 months why and how do our birds get it ? There has to be something wrong with the vaccine if it is not protecting them and someone should be finding out why . If it's a dead vaccine how can you pass it on to others .

Which one is not my issue anymore but when was the last time anyone challenged this vaccinating every year or tests to see if any of them actually work ! It as always is just money making scheme.

Yes belgica did tel me it would give them a boost but they and another also said they thought I had para ! . I am not really having a dig at belgica but the vaccine it does not do what it says on the tin.

Can I point out birds did not and have not got paramoxo my point is why jag if they recommend jagging every time they have wet droppings , sorry for confusion .

This is my story this is my song lol . After the first inland nat my birds started to go wrong maybe before that ! I had a bird come home late from fed race the next day , almost straight away he started drinking lots water then noticed his nest box covered in water so out the loft he went into a basket and treated for coxy after 5days no change basket was soaked so cankered him then gave parastop for a week , while he was locked in basket another 2 went down with same so put them in spare loft and gave coxy treatment again it did not do anything so sent test away to belgica who told me to treat for coxy but also jag again for para which had been done in March and also jag everything so I did against my own belief that it was not para , in mean time 1st bird completely recovered ,was given 4/1 from belgica but made no diff so in end I destroyed 12 yearlings that got it and that was the funny thing not a older bird got it ? . A week after jagging my ybs they started to get wet droppings and not looking great ,they had been flying great at home , so sent test away told again to jag birds for para (they had only been done a few weeks earlier) also treated for coxy no good then put them on 4/1no diff contacted belgica and done test with other vet and told to jag again ? Now my patience was thin here and told them that why am I jagging them 3 times if vaccine is ment to work first time ? They are now getting tested again in a more complex manner . I don't want the kill them brigade as that is easy way and answers nowt but have disposed of any that have struggled . The reason for this long winded yarn is WHY do we vaccinate if it does not protect them at all ! Also I am not alone with this problem which I know for sure and they think kill a few and all is ok carry on regardless and we wonder why we are losing birds so easy .
