  1. Who said you were a top national flier lol . I have tried over the last 2 years not training or racing my ybs and only giving minimal training 4/5 ten ml tosses as yearlings and will go back to training my ybs this year as I think they lack indifferent race experience ie strong east or strong south like last week I know I am not a top fancier but I am also no mug but lost 6 my first race and 7 last week and feel they just had no experience .jmo
  2. Still not bad returns Alan have heard of some terrible returns through out the fed but I think a lot more will have made home now . Enjoy your teetotal night out .lol
  3. I don,t pool my birds til nationals but the one I thought may be my first although I don't like him is missing , lol
  4. I did think twice about sending after reading your posts yesterday but have to say from being gutted I now feel the birds have learned something very valuable today where if kept at home maybe they would not be so street wise come the big (300+) races
  5. I get that and you said so yesterday . But why so erratic ?
  6. Firstly this is not a east or west racing issue , my first bird was approx 35 mins behind club winner and know my birds are over fed but up til 8.00 I have 18/20 what are your genuine returns ! I honestly thought I was in for a horrendous race but my last one has no racing experience of the race basket due to not racing yb,s and only minimum training and injury,s but thought I won the race when this yearling arrived lol .u
  7. Providing all members agree to conditions there can be no issue Stuart ,as you are a membership club but if you hold shows or sales then it becomes open issue to visitors . My club has toilet and washing facility but now the water board want paying for usage ! Can't win .

  18. Have 13/20 all unraced or trained as ybs and 2 x10 ml tosses and 1 x15 ml this year , hope for a few more tonight .
  19. Please don't think I,m questioning your system just very interested as the distance races are where I want to succeed but a bird spending 3 days in basket surely must carry a more body than a pigeon going over night and only flying half the distance . I hope you are successful because I think you must think outside the box as pigeon racing has changed .
  20. Ok kind of straight forward , so for say 500 mls would you keep bird same weight as for 200 mls .
  21. How do you weigh your birds ? Never been interested in shorter racing so never seen it done before although have read about it . Well done on your good start to season .
  22. Not often wardhaugh wins first race , well done on a very cold day
  23. Lot longer for me , played county A for a few years for lothians and were scottish champs several times ,got beat in scottish singles semi by Harry Paterson who went on to play jocky Wilson in final, sure I got beat 2/1 , 2/0 but remember 3x140 in one leg and never got a sniff at a double and 180 ,125, again never got a dart at a double lol same year got to last 8 scottish masters and Danny ingles done me in a game the whole hall stood and watched ahh memories , can't even throw now sometimes wonder if it was all a dream lol.
  24. Have had a few chances over the years hitting the 2 x180s are the easy bit the hardest is dart 8 . Mate of mine George dalglish hit 2 back to back before a league game and went out and got beat lol but you are right the top players do loads in practice .
