  1. if this programme was to get on 1 of the sky sport channels you would'nt have to pay for just that programme it would come as a package with other sports making it more attractive to other sport lovers
  2. hi roland , i don't think it would be screened live so it should'nt effect the lib can't quite see it getting as bad as football
  3. yes i would, as it would give valuable publicity to this ailing sport of ours and is more likely to attract people in than the current situation .i think it would be good if they had a programme once a week(in season) focusing on national racing ,presented by pigeon folk.
  4. hi valence , say something to them gits at work , they're the same down here, quick to shout something bad out ,i stand up and ask them what they know about racing pigeons they normally say nothing cause they know nothing ,i'll say then "just talking through your *expletive removed* again" lol

    R.O WATER

how many pigeons go down for a drink on way home from a race in rivers/ponds or just puddles don't seem to harm them ,i often see my birds drinking rain water to me i think tap water's ok
  14. you can train your latebreds but i would leave the young that's raced the programme at home they've had enough already and should be moulting now
  15. hens go into avairy for winter(they spend most of their time there anyway) open on 3 sides, cocks stay in sections ,their's only sputniks on the front so not to open
  16. if i remember i'll give colin surtees a ring after as he imports birds from holland and it does'nt cost that much from there
  17. they have'nt been sold yet the sales not til next sunday but you can bid on elimar's site for the birds now and they take them prices to the sale room to start off at. the 1st bird is at £2,200 the 2nd £2,500 ,the third £400 and the first 4 came together , the fancy names sell well but you can pick up tidy birds for a reasonable amount
  18. this happened to 1 of my birds(yb) a couple of years ago, my mate went up on the roof had a look down the chimmney pot and said it was on a ledge about 4ft down, we put a bamboo with a ring on the end made out of coat hanger wire about the size of football stretched a bag over the loop to catch the bird in ,my mate got it out all covered in soot
