for me, it has to be messac last year,liberated at 5 to 1 with mist in the area. turned out a tough race with only 8 birds in the marking station on the night. although i had 2 of these and done ok on the result i lost 3 good cocks, which i feel would have homed ok if they had liberated earlier or waited for better conditions. i'm sure birds in this race have met there end on wire's, firstly flying in mist and at the home end when trying to get home in the dark.

i'd say they're upto middle distance, but i have seen em crossed into long distance families. many people have them, the good ones are good and the bad ones are bad,same as any other.

how is yb getting scalped? is it going into another cocks box?

the one i have here is called - pigeons for beginner's, copy i bought off ebay so i don't know the fancier, but it'll be very helpful in all aspects.

hi michael, i'd suggest you get some videos/dvd's/books and have a look through em first to give your self an idea of what it's all about. it's easyier to see things in there than it is for people to tell you. you mentioned you've trained and raced before(you can't have raced before if you've never had birds) do you mean you took somebody's birds training ?. could these people help you? there's a few guys on here from up your way maybe 1 can take you under their wing.
