  1. I had Maris pipers ... make nice chips........ ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  2. Latebreds should not be raced or bred from until 2 years old. spencer
  3. Dear members of Pigeon Basics, I have spoken personally on the telephone with Stuart Wilcox, I would like to make it known publically at this point, that certain evidence was made available to the panel which conducted Stuart Wicox's hearing and appeal, I would like to stand corrected and offer my sincere apologies for mis-interperating original posts and posting an inaccurate post by myself in the thread. Stuart Wilcox is a player with integrity and respect for the sport as a whole, and I for one offer my apologies to Stuart for any incorrect comments made by myself here. I was wrong and I would like to congratulate Stuart on a fantastic result, which to if my information is correct, NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE!!!! Congratulations and may the good work and results continue Stuart, best regards spencer Jackson :X
  4. Stuart, Your post is noted, but think maybe you have taken it the wrong way, whatever evidence was presented ( i do not know the full story) I am sure the dicision was reached as the panel saw fit and correct. I was not attacking or judging you in anyway, congratulations on a successful appeal. regards spencer
  5. With regard to Stuart Wilcox result of gaining a result by default, firstly improbably velocity means exactly that, but not impossible... so the disqualified pigeon could have done what the original result showed, however a panel has sat and reached a dicision to award the result by defult to MR STUART WILCOX and this result will stand unless an appeal is made in small claims court. CONGRATULATIONS TO ANY WINNER OF A RACE, THIS TIME IT IS MR STUART WILCOX. WELL DONE, HOWEVER lets look at the panel and thats where the issue should be falling on , not stuart. This panel of X ammount of people have reached a dicision based on no evidence substainciating any claim for the original winner to be disquailified. NO body saw a pigeon escape. NO body saw any discrepency with the clock or timing system THE claim is improbable velocity, which is based on what evidence? ( improbably still means it is possible to be done) No court in this or any country would entertain a claim as such, it would not be vindicated , and the original result would stand. However i think congratulations to Stuart should be give, its the panel of narrow minded, incompitant judicators who should be sacked from their potitions for basing their dicision on no evidence what so ever. farce. the panel is at fault not Stuart Wilcox. he appealed and won . spencer :o
  6. both are important but genetically they pass on different properties to their off-spring, victor vansalens book is good, but not cheap , buy it , you wont look back. spencer
  7. hi, Firstly check the bird for small gunshot, or pellet gun wound. secondly , if no shooting injury found, it could well be the pigeon has damaged some tendons in the wing and this would take at least a year to recover, not just physically but mentally, its confidence would be low. lock pigeon in box food and water and float his eggs. good luck
  8. Valence lofts sir, I admire those who do the office jobs, and i have been addressing the way things are done directly with the RPRA and its like talking to a wall. i think were all doomed ;D ;D ;D
  9. :X :X :X :X :X :X :X :X :X :X :o :o :o
  10. RPRA is a defunked institute whos members of office stand there sucking the life from our sport, what have they ever really done for the sport, NOTHING TO TAKE IT FORWARD. THEY treat there positions as a slush pension fund to gain extra cash until they pop their clogs. the RPRA are nothing more than a modern day highwayman with delapidated ideas.
  11. i agree gangster, but where is the poxy RPRA ? what do they do? they are antique and primative and all fanciers let them get away with robbing them for fees. fees to what ? what are these fees for? they are so they cant sod off and go abroad to olympiads and plush hotels with their wifes and hubbys ... while the sport dies on its *expletive removed*.... it will die you cant stop it happening and the RPRA is the main reason. dont dress it up dont walk on egg shells.. sack the lot and get some younger guys in there with ambition for the sport, not old codgers sponging their way through life. spencer
  12. hi again stu , how many pigeons ???? 50 !!!!!! hawk cant miss a group like that, let them out in kits of 6-8 it might help. 50 pigeons is a big area to hit successfully!!
  13. hi stu. As your partners with Raymond, can you not house the breeders and race in Holland as partners, do you race in name partnership or seperate mate ? it would solve hawk problems, you have my condolences when dealing with the hawk mate, had that last year myself when i reared 18 babies for myself, left with 15 i think, but they have now been bought by lucky people who will reap the benefits, cant race anyway due to other comitments. just a thought matey spencer
  14. and yes we all heard the rumours........... bye guys
  15. stu and Gangster, your views are noted guys, we can all be wrong sometimes even me. off now speak again soon. take care spencer
  16. we can all see things, pm me and i will tell if i heard the same, but i am happy with them ... i win with them so put me straight mick.
  17. yes trading views is ok stu , its not an argument. spencer
  18. Stuart, with regard to backing the wrong horse, i have many pigeons in my breeding loft that have breed winners upto multipul federation level , and as for Herman Beverdam pigeons in other Dutch lofts, maybe your right, but you will find them in Thailand, Germany, Canada, USA, Britain, China, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Scotland, France and the list goes on mate. so your point being ? Herman has been a top player in Holland for 20 years plus.. not 3-4 and I trust Herman Beverdam. which goes along way with me. spencer
  19. sorry dont understand this ....call me old
  20. what is , what best at , my birds you mean, if so they race well at 60 miles upto 400 miles but sure enough they will do the distance if tested, spencer
  21. Stuart, with all respect mate, I am unable to race this season due to me having moved house and I work every weekend and friday night, so as you are well aware mate i am unable to race domestically in my region. I also have a young family who take up most of my time as you can appreciate, children take up alot of time. I shall endeavour to race again domestically next season when my youngest is in full time school. hope this is ok with you or anyone else who doubts what my situation is, there is more to life than pigeons, not that i need to explain myself to you or anyone else, but thought it needed an explanation due to you thinking i wont race !! cant race due to present circumstances is best way it can be put. i am not getting drawn into an arguement with you stuart as I have a certain repect for you and your endeavours and only hope this respect is mutual. spencer
  22. yes I agree, i only get my meulemans from 2 places , herman beverdam and john Kirk !! these 2 gentleman have a big reputation to lose if they do not supply good top pigeons, this can work as your gaurentee. some odd bad ones do occure but these are culled at my lofts, i cant talk for everyone, There are people who sell rubbish and dont care, as there are people who do their best to sell quality. you cant please everyone all the time,
  23. Chris, a comment that has my total agreement...
  24. Location, Location, Location ? you been watching to much day time tele ;D ;D I do agree but when people buy these foreign birds and sort through them, the ones found wanting end up in the BHW... people should learn how to select as you say but also cull the rubbish , not put them back on the market to recoup some money. I have culled foreign and british birds alike. rubbish does not ever leave my loft. i would rather cull than roll with the majority in the BHW. spencer
  25. Stuart, I would then expect you will not be selling any birds from this Brazilian Champion you have purchased. As you would and I agree want to keep your edge over the rest of the competitors !! I commend you Stuart with regard to bringing within the reach of the fancy in this country the bloodlines of Raymond Molveld, but can you tell me , if Raymonds pigeons are as good as you stated, Why have you gone and bought a Brizilian pigeon and not utilised the Molveld pigeons to a more full potential ? I only race two familys of birds and I offer to other people within the sport the same as i keep and race myself, and think it shows some character of commitment to the family of birds housed and produced. I do not know the Molveld pigeons and sure as eggs is eggs you will inform me of their capabilitys. I do agree foreign birds are worthy to enhance our lofts , thats why I have 42 breeders 12 bred from foreign rung birds and 30 direct from Belgium and Holland. with regard to ploughing the money from purchases back into the sport in Britain, anyone who promotes people to buy foreign birds is taking the british economy abroad !! ask any politiciac they will agree. I think all have a contribution to the sport , wether your a racing man, a seller or stud, or even an agent, the advantages that go with having a vast fraternity of forces can only benefit the sport in general. spencer :-/
