I can remember not so long ago we tried 4 races from the west longtown penrith longtown penrith these were 4 good races then the program was then to go east next race was catterick what happened wipe out so we have to give it a go so come on lads SUPPORT YOUR FEDERATION

you know I am disgusted at hearing that midlothian members want to train there young birds with pentland fed ( short memories) ther was a democratic vote taken and the west won although it was a close vote but members should abide by the vote not go and fill the coffers of another federation so all the work that has been done ie new transporter built new crates etc all to go down the tube because some members dont want to support ther own federation so I say this to all midlothian members support your federation or you may find next year you wont have one so just think lads what happens every year down the east when ever we get into the durham area and beyond losses losses losses so I dont think the west can be any worse one thing you elimanate is the clashing with the english feds so support your federation

stb what happened to your young birds in the bermuda triangle last year ie durham area(consett)

but I think irrespective if its successful or not it will probably at the agm get changed back as people will be losing there overfly

I can remember when we first moved from west to east we lost a lot of good old birds as these birds were not familiar with the east route that is why we are trying with young birds if everything goes well then we will have birds on transporter next year that are familiar with that route

that is the way the birds used to come through when we last flew the west route

somebody has to try back down the traditional route if it doesnt work atleast we tried nothing ventured nothing gained

birds should ??? come through langholm hawick gala into midlothian

but the problem with east route members fly 2/3 races with youg birds then stop them afraid of losing them in the bermuda triangle in the durham area

at least down the west one problem is elimanated no clashing with english feds going south

midland fed seem to have done okay cant be any worse than done the east with young birds as practicaly every year we can start with around 2000 birds by the time we get to the last race usually down to about 400 so have to give it a go
