we midlothian fed went back down the west route this year and there was no where near the losses that we were getting down the eastside as I have said before I would like to see all the scottish feds back down the traditional route all the pigeons are flying north no risk of clashing with south roaders

bigda give it a rest man accept the vote that was cast by the members who took the time to go to the meeting you had no intention of going to the meeting as your were at a fitba match so stop talking so much P***

if the vote had went east would you be asking for a revote dont think so the members that were interested attended the meeting and voted those that werent stayed away stop stirring sh** and accept the vote that was taken end off

it seems to me that there is no democracy left in the pigeon game its not the hawks rader or whatsowever that is destroying the sport it is pigeon men themselves with the bickering and back stabbing that goes on if a fed or club have a democratic vote then abide with that vote dont go and look at ways to over turn the vote of the people who are prepared to go to meetings and cast there vote so just accept the vote of the majority and get on with racing your pigeons

we dont need cover either our last younbird race should have been stafford but due to bad weather at race point birds were brought back to appleton/lymm 180mls with good returns

there,s nothing wrong with the controller that you have the man puts the welfare of the birds first but if yous want to put a chuck up charlie on the job then that is up to yous

you say there were no losses down the east side I will give you some examples pentland fed thirsk yb lots of birds missing lanarkshire hexam yb poor returns s/lanarkshire ridsdale more than half the convoy missing glasgow otterburn poor returns also I think witton castle was also a bad race for them ayrshire/ballochmile also took hammerings on the east side so dont say there werent losses on the east side I think some feds have had there worst seasons ever down the east side and it just keep going on something has to change and I think it has to be the route

do not go to keswick or kendal just asking for trouble if you go there

one thing I would like to see is all the scottish fds back down the old route and get back to the old race points in france ie avaranches rennes etc cant see it happening as to many think of there overfly instead of the welfare of there birds

hi gareth the reason we tryed the west route was to try and avoid the losses when you hit the bermuda triangle of the north east olso to avoid the clashing with the english feds coming down as for hawks they are all over the place one thing that most fanciers noticed was if any youngbirds were missing they were there next morning most members I have spoken to are saying that they have more youngbirds left than on the east route in my opinoin the west route is the truist route into scotland as I have said forget about the hawks they are everywhere think about a route that is going to get your birds home and avoid clashing

midlothian flew the west route this year we got to 180mls and had good returns the only problem we had was the bloody weather hope they stick with it for the old birds next year

why go to marlborough are you forgetting what happened this year from that race point

forcast doesnt look to good

midlothian downsized 3yr ago costs then for pulling our big transporter was around 13000 a year got a new transporter built 7.5t can hold nearly 3000 birds and now only costs around 5/6000 to take birds down road

If you try to put constructive ideas forword you get classed as being a trouble maker as you mussent upset the apple cart especially if it means loseing there advantage with overfly jmo

l probably hit on a touchy subject if you want true raceing into scotland get the birds back down the west route as you will never get it down the east side

and I stand by the decisions that the race control team make for the welfare of the pigeons

gareth why do you always keep slaging the race controllers on the decisions being made for the benefit of the birds the forcast we had was not favourable for everyone you go on about the snrpc liberating if they had heldover there would have been nothing said you also say we could have lib at 13.00hrs remember it is called a national for the whole of scotland not for the lanarkshire fed if your not happy go and join the other national the forcast for today sunday through most of the route was a hellava lot better than saturday with clear blue sky and sunshine with a strong s.w.wind which was never going to favour the solway or west section it was just unfortunate about the rain in the west as regards returns I think returns have been good for most but if you are not happy put yourself forward the job next year (god help us)
