If you read the rspb website they are saying that the peregrine popalation on the west is declining due to the rerouting of the racing pigeons the rspb is putting up breeding boxes in all the high places down the east side as this is where the food chain is I agree with going back down the west cant be any worse than what we are getting at least no clashing with birds coming down against us

come on lads spare a thought for all the race controllers it is not an easy job especially when you start to get to the distance races getting up at 4.30 in the morning checking out lines of flight phoneing other organasitons to try and avoid clashing then get all the hassle if it does,nt suit some fanciers most controllers put the welfare of the pigeons first not the fanciers who want the pigeons up at all costs so they can get away to pub so as I have said previously put your names forward at your agms and have ago at the job and I will tell you this half of you would not last five minutes on the job so spare a thought for the men who try there best every week to get the pigeons home safe...

we raced from maidstone yesterday total disaster midlothian sent over 400 birds only about 20 birds home on night total convoy around 700 one reported in cardiff so could be a lot more over there in wales

Hi anyone on this site stay near ripon as i believe there is a pair in the cathedral we lib ther today at 5.45 birds were scattered convoyer stated that 5/10 mins after lib pigeons came back over race point just wondered if there was more than 1pair in the area thanks
