great thread walter but have to disagree on this point. antibiotics will have NO effect on a flu virus. they will only work on bacterial infections, not viral infections. soupie

most netbooks should be of a spec to install office. as another poster mentions they dont have cd drives so you can copy the install files to a usb pen drive on another machine and use this to install in the netbook. soupie

sounds like the "touchpad" driver/software has been disabled. This may have happened when you were uninstalling stuff. This normally starts on bootup and there should be a little icon on the bottom right of the screen beside the clock to show you that its running. On Dell machines this is called "Dell Touchpad" but will be called something similiar for other brands. soupie

I only have a 12x6 shed and have not split my birds the last two years. Around september i will let the birds sit on pot eggs and when they get up i remove the bowls. No birds laid again after that. When i dropped the bowls in 3 weeks ago they all layed without a problem. Think it's useful to have your birds paired the way you want them at the end of the previous year soupie

my birds would have black mineral in front of them nearly all the time and never empty the pot. but since the yb's have been about 10 days old they are eating a lot more of it. i've noticed this in previous years too. The birds probably know more than i do about what they require when feeding ybs, so i just leave them to it. soupie

remove battery from the lappy for a while and make sure no discs in the cd drive and try again. if this fails, watch screen when you turn it on and you should see at the bottom "press F2 " or some other key to "Enter Setup", do this and then "load bios default" , save and exit then and try again. can be a few things mate that cause this. knackered hard drive being the worse case scenario soupie

did you restore system to an earlier date or wipe it and restore to factory settings ?? i wouldn't trust restore to an earlier date if you have got a virus btw in case some parts remain, complete wipe imo soupie
