  14. I have found that birds excercising for an hour or more at a time will pant on occasion. Not in any way through the excersion put in during the excercise. Have seen it in cocks seperated from their mates. If the cocks go away ranging and return to the loft with strangers(some of which hens),on landing some will pant-excitement/stress?? these same birds will fly for an hour the following day and land with no signs at all of this panting. So it can happen without it being an illness and its not alway related to fear of attack in my opinion. Have never seen the same behaviour in cocks settled and paired if they return from ranging with strangers.

  16. On a personal note I lost a race in 2010 fi Otterburn because ae Colonel Sanders. Had been fer a KFC the night before, being a greedy bugger I got two Zinger burgers. Stomach was a bit sensitive the following morning.I didnae think the birds were dure so risked a toilet break.Came out to find 9 doos on top ae each other in the stall traps.Finished 4th that day on the same minute as the winner. Theres a lesson in there somewhere I'm sure

  21. Think a lot of peoples best pigeons were lost from Messac last year I hope the SNFC have a strong Gold Cup race this season. Was talking to an Irish friend earlier today and the topic of the single bird challenge and this seasons record entry came up.He thinks this is off the back of the good Gold Cup races they've enjoyed the last two seasons and hes expecting a very good turnout for the race this season. Hopefully we in Scotland can have a good couple of years from Alencon and get a bit of momentum behind our Gold Cup again Best of luck to you Yeboah
