  1. Good returnd Endflight. I've 7 from 11, Ripon 254 miles.
  2. I'm doing about 975ypm and as far as I know have the first four into Inverness. Paul will be on about 1111ypm. My seventh bird came in at 20:25 but still looking for a few. Jim
  3. ;Thanks John. Paul got a fast one at 15:40. I got in an hour ahead of the 18:00 I was hoping for. Had five by 17:42 and one at the back of 6. Still half a dozen to come though. Some difference from last week. Three of Paul's first four were in his first three last week, that's the way to do it. WELL DONE PAUL!!
  4. Thanks Endflight. We should take about nine hours then, into Inverness from Ripon 250 miles and a big dog-leg. If they make it at all that is.
  5. Have any birds arrived in Scotland at all?
  6. Forres sent 92 from 8 flyers. 256 miles for longest member and the rain is on again.
  7. Surly not. Is it not against the law to interfere or even go near a BOPs nest in the breading season? Oh, I forgot, the law does not apply to them does it.
  8. Minging weather and a strong westerly wind John but it's the first week I've had all my birds home on the day so far this year. 9 out of 9 and all within 3 and a half hours of my first one, could well be a different story next week though! I hope you get the rest back OK.
  9. Defo not a ferret. Ferret would kill everyone it could catch, put them in a pile and maybe eat the odd one but would defo put the ones it did'nt eat in a pile. What ever it was it may come back if it knows where to get an easy meal. Be prepaired!
  10. 92 birds liberated at Concett 07:45. Well done to Paul Thomson. Most flyers had good returns. Consett OB 210511.doc
  11. FORGOT TO SAY.......WELL DONE THE CRAW!
  12. Aye yer right, they're everywhere now. The botanics in Edinburgh arn't exactly massive but the above link says that there is a second pair nesting there as well. SO MUCH FOR BEING RARE!!!!
  13. And mine. We will be paying for the B..liar/Bush problem for years.
  14. 9 members sent 130 birds with 49 clocked. Well done to Paul Thomson. Arniston OB 14May2011.doc
  15. I have an old pet cock that did Elgin to Inverness in three weeks as a youngster. That'll be a mile every week then.
  16. Well Done to Jock Sutherland, first win of the year. I don't know how to change the Subject Line, it should read Club Result Independant of North of Scotland Fed. Perth OB 7th May 2011 First 18.doc
  17. Well done Ally, I'm 400ypm..ish behind you.
  18. Do you think they will recommend what the best method is?
  19. Aye, well done to Stewart Taylor of Inverness and Ronnie Sharp of Elgin. The wind's from the South East again tomorrow, just hope it's clear of mist in the mountains.
  20. What's the lump on the bottom of this plane?
  21. I don't know who the fancier is but that's this kind of attitude that makes non-fanciers think we all don't care. I might be mad but I've had birds reported in Stirling and Edinburgh and jumped in the car to collect them. Courier would have been much cheaper but maybe I'm just too soft.
  22. Good on you John, I'm over run with pets now but they still have a job to do. I float eggs to them and they are all fantastic 'pumpers'. There were five Fed positions in the Forres club this week so we are all really chuffed. Well done to Stewart for topping & third & seventh and for Ronnie of Elgin for coming second and fourth. Couldn’t have happened to two nicer people. Bill (we train together) and myself are just happy to get into the top 30. It's not often the lofts in the West win!
