  1. No result yet, but its close between N.Peacock and J.Boyle for 1st open as far as i know.
  2. Every yearling fit to race goes this week from my loft, be about 14-20, as its the special Yearling Duplication race in Lanarkshire fed. Most are sitting again, 7-10 day eggs, but due to losses at the weekend some are now off their eggs and will race spare or pairing up with another single bird. Have to hold some for next weekends national from Bovingdon as they are paired to older birds i am sending there.
  3. Lanarkshire are at Peterborough, a new race point for us, its the yearling derby in the fed too. I'm flying 267mls.
  4. Thats nonsense! You are not allowed to wing stamp your PHONE NUMBER onto the birds, you are encouraged to stamp your club and fed names onto them, to help repatriate the bird if it gets lost.
  5. Right what nugget bought it :D
  6. That is the most sense posted on here all day.
  7. How do you know that?
  8. A grand for a pair of doos at any time is a few quid but the now it''ll only be the wealthy few who can spend that kind of money. Undoubted quality to offer the fancy though so well done there.
  9. Don't let some annoying process to stand in your way of doing someone a good turn, it gives you more satisfaction when you put yourself out a little.
  10. Far as i know Carluke are doing 1365ypm. Do you know anything better?
  11. Lots of fanciers would settle for 5 mins behind, means your not far away. If you want them flying longer at home you can always flag them for 30 mins then let them do their own thing for 30 mins.
  12. If you know the velocity of your club winner put it up, hopefully we'll find the fed topper;
  13. Never got a doo 'til 2pm, only 3/12 back. Worst race i've had since i've been racing on ma own.
  14. Sure about your measurements this week??
  15. We ought to create a relay team of fanciers who will pass on a bird to someone, say 20 miles in the direction the bird needs to go, and receive birds to be passed on up/down the line, now i know it would need a lot of Good Will from any fanciers who make up the team but i'm sure we could manage it if we tried. Free is the word here!
  16. Tried for 2 weeks last year to arrange 1 down to Carlisle, eventually took it down ma self and the gut gave me a score for the fuel. Even when they turn up you can bet its no a pigeon man and he won't have o box to put it in!! No time for any of them now. :angry:
