  1. Think Paul has got it right, a few more days won't make that much difference to you and by that time the yb's would be picking themselves anyway.
  2. I'm looking forwad to gettin ma darkies onto normal time, i'm worn out by it. That apart i'm lookin forwad to seeing C.Ronaldo in full flow, miss watching the boy, he's a treat to look at with a ball at his feet.
  3. Whoever it is That Linda who put up the first post on the thread is in cahoots with or is the same person, HAVE to say this was a Belter of a practical joke  Sorry Sapper :D
  4. By the looks of it, there are only 2 suppliers of Benzing equipment in mainland UK. Hamilton of Larkhall, Lanarkshire. 01698 886515 or Rickerby Ltd in Carlisle, 01228 527521. The company who supply them are, H. Beattie & Son 120 Portadown Rd Tandragee, Co. Armagh N.I. Tel 028 3884 0486. Again good luck.
  5. I know the Ayrshire fed uses it and Kilwinning H.S. The SHU will give you a number for both. Phone them on, 01698 768939, good luck with it.
  6. Still got some single's in a few nests, but will be finished when they get weaned
  7. Well done Ritchie, look after that hen and she will score in future seasons for you. Often when you get a good result from a yearling, thats them given you there best for the year. Better to get her to 2yr old before doubling up on her. jmo. Best of luck to you.
  8. I'm no sure of they ones, only had Aluminium and wooden ma self. Half the wooden one from 8 holes to 4. I just cut right down the middle with a hand saw, made 2 new sides and had 2 traps out of one.
  9. Fair few Irish doos over here, must have clashed somewhere
  10. Is the big one made of wood?
  11. Oh am no admitting to it in general, only in the dookit, other than that i'm never wrong, ask the Missus
  12. Had a yearling hen lay 3 this year, first time in the loft for years. Never had one lay in the pattern you describe though. I don't imagine there will be a definitive answer to this one, nature has strange ways at times.
  13. Rare event indeed
  14. No, he's got experience, he probably has to negotiate it down the way
  15. 100% correct
  16. No matter what its off, its constitution is weak, dispose of it and forget about it, believe me it won't be here at the end of the season if you do doctor it back to health. When it faces the stress of a hard race it'll go down. I write everything down about my Yb's, How they come out the nest and how they fair once weaned also anything that looks off, in all my time i have never had a sick pigeon come to anything.
  17. Have to say it would be reckless to give him any more than that. I'm sure he accepts that its a probationary period, i mean its no every day a rookie gets to manage a team/club the size of Celtic.
  18. C'mon Roland where's your answer? Fact is almost EVERY English team who have dominated the league in the last 50 tears has had a Scotsman, either at the helm or who started the team off. Busby, Shankly, Geo Graham, King Kenny, Alex Ferguson the list goes on
  19. I've been wishing ma life away waiting for it to come. That having to be at the loft every day at the SAME time, TWICE a day, doesn't half scunner me about mid May onwards.
  20. I'm supporting Wayne Rooney. I wouldn't like Maradonna to win, in fact it would suit me if they get knocked out in the group stages :)
  21. Only had 2 go off this season, also nest mates. left them in the team until they were not eating at all then they had to go. The parents won't be allowed to breed again, in fact i'd be surprised at ma self if they survive 'til next year! Its hard enough to win with strong robust Yb's instead of those who have to be nursed back to health. As a rule i don't medicate sick birds, if they get over it themselves fine, if not then they have to go.
  22. Same race point for me, will have 6/8 away to get them ready for next weeks Eastbourne race.
  23. Morning all, weather awful in Lanarkshire, no training today. The wind has picked uo so hopefully it'll clear the rain away.
  24. Looking at his flying distance he must be in Scotland, my guess is its a misprint
