  1. Well done to our lads they won the match 21/17 and were well worth the victory too!!
  2. Into the last 5 minutes and Scotland lead 21/17. Equivalent to our football team leading Germany in a World cup play off
  3. Sorted Gareth, and it was my pleasure to do it. I'll be getting my photo took for the papers next week with some RBS officials, who are handing over a 3 or 4 grand check to the Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health, my employers, this is funds from a quiz night i attended on behalf of LAMH about 4 weeks ago.

    Blue Peas

As far as nutritional value is concerned the Blue peas are equal to Maples, White peas and Green peas, but for whatever reason doos don't seem to like them and they are always the last eaten, even when feeding big young birds they're last in the tray.
  9. I gave fair warning about the raffle, and i've posted on here about ma luck before. Widnae be surprised in the least if i done the double and win next week as well

  11. Whoever said that is a liar, it was Sydney Devine
  12. Guy stopped in front of me on a roundabout, it was still ma fault i hit him. The vehicle at the back is ALWAYS responsible
  13. Yer right enough about the waves as reports of birds drowning are common. My thinking on the roosting point is, if your sending doos to a 550miles race and the first 300 miles are over water, why would they need to be roosting in the first place? I personally don't think the distance they fly over seas matters, but at what stage of the race they are asked to do it might. jmo
  14. Looking forward to this weeks show after missing last weeks at the 11th hour!! No got anything in particular for either class but i'm looking forward to it anyway
  15. I am wondering what members thoughts are on sending birds to race points where the birds have to fly over seas for hundreds of miles. Do you think it is more difficult for the birds? Or do you think it would be safer for the birds regarding Percy? What benefits does racing over land have that over seas does not?
  16. I see the silly season is in full swing

  18. A top fancier is a man who sets himself goals at the start of each season and achieves them. An average fancier would succeed in some of his goals and a poor fancier does not achieve any of his goals. But the WORST kind of fancier is the one who sets impossible targets, reaches none of them, and blames every one else for his failings when he never had the doos or the ability to do it from the start. omo
  19. My earliest memory of winning a race was a Show Race from Worcester in 1977, the club held a winter show and the doos would then race for prize money the following season. We had a Red Grizzle Black Splash Ck SU 75 L 14907 and he won racing to 2 day yb's. This race stuck in my mind as the Wh Gr was my doo given to me by my Da who told me in the winter that he would win the race. He also won all pools and accy the same day
