  1. Cheers Rab.
  2. The sire was a Martha Van Geel direct and she has the same head shape as him. My father used to refer to this as being a "European" type of bird, sharper face than a British doo.

  10. Looking forward to getting to know you all, i'll be down Thursday night, providing i get an early finish at work on Thursday. I will know tomorrow for certain. Rab (wing04) and his Da are in there too, in fact they recommended it to me, said it was clean and the food was good and that's awe we need.
  11. The fact is Frank they were all discussed just like they will be at the AGM, where i would predict all the members will have their say on the reasons why they prefer one racepoint to another. We all had our say at the meeting and voted on the racepoints that we as individuals thought would be best. We didn't all agree on the proposal being put forward, however as is democracy, the ones that got the most votes are the ones being proposed. I don't think it would be prudent to post on a forum the views of each M/C member, where non members can throw in remarks which would be unwelcome, just as non members are not welcome at an AGM.
  12. Didnae know ye were in beside us Fifer, i fear there might no be many tae pass round come Saturday, or Friday night for that matter
  13. I would rather be a day early than a minute late
  14. The management committee recommend what the majority of the committee vote for. Just like any other meeting the decisions taken at them are discussed then Voted on and the Majority vote is carried. Now when the Proposal is put to the members, they will vote and the racepoint that receives the most votes will be where we race from. NO ONE is TELLING you that you will race from any particular racepoint, ESPECIALLY Not the M/C.
  15. Naw, but i can show you how to put it away
  16. Whisky, ahhhhh
  17. I've still got my STB,, Toulet and Benzing clocks, but i'm thinking of just sending my Yb's as trainers this year, with no race ring on, until the Duplication race then i'll put ETS rings on they entries. I canny see me using rubber rings again, but never say never!!!

  23. Thanks to Fifer for getting the post up, i couldnae get it down loaded to where i could post it, from my e-mail. Thanks also for the Very Generous comments lads, i am delighted with the quality of Jim's photo, as i always am.
  24. There are no easy ways to win races Tam no matter what you choose to do with your loft but the men i mentioned in general only buy in distance stock whereas other fanciers buy in sprint middle and distance too, comes down tio what floats your boat and if you win at the races that mean most to you as a fancier your doing very well. I confess i couldn't keep up the momentum needed to win from start to finish of every season, no got the stamina for it but i have great admiration for those who can. The men i listed get equal admiration from me, because they have scored at the very top of distance races year after year and you know yourself how difficult that is to do. So that is why i listed those fanciers in particular because of the sustained performances of their birds. I do Not Disagree with any of your 3 choices and admire them just as you do, but i also think that distance men like those i named are due equal respect
  25. I'll no be drinking Sunday so the Saturday will need to do for me as well.
