  1. I was at Otterburn too and timed my Nom & Accy at 10.12.23, not at the races but wasn't expecting to be either Good training toss though with 15/15 returned.
  2. Hope you enjoy the site and we all look forward to reading your posts, welcome aboard
  3. A bird that carries 2 Nest Flights or more into its Yearling season is considered a late bred in my loft. These would normally be June/July bred.
  4. I thought we were struggling for a race today looking at the forecast, so i halved my team from 30 to 15. Glad i done it now.
  5. Get Wally/Pot eggs and put them in the nests when your doos lay.
  6. PM sent Frank
  7. Think i'll send as many hens as possible and a few Ck's who are looking at their hens again, probably around the 30 mark. Pooler will be an Andy Miller Blue Ck that was gifted to me by Andy's mate Joe Boyle. He is the only bird in my loft with a ticket under 200 miles and is in the Pink just now so he picks himself really.
  8. Aye everythin is easier when your a Millionaire ...........Looking great Andy.
  9. Well done Vinnie , and great to see the happy recipients looking so well too. It is UNIMAGINABLE to most of us just how much of a difference the money will make to them. Very well done
  10. Yer a Top Man Wullie well done, and despite your chosen name (chicken head)!!!! i hope you manage to do them justice

    Well Done

It was a great sale tonight, and with the club paying out 100% of the cash back to those taking part. The very best of luck to all the breeders and the buyers.........................you'll need it, i bought my own
  12. Sounds like an air sack to me. Put an injection needle into the centre of the swollen area and gently squeeze the air out through it, sometimes you have to repeat this as it inflates again but normally once is enough.
  13. When he gets his eye or nose on something he won't listen to me, hopefully its because he is still young. He can get up that shoot steps in a flash now and seems to enjoy the slide down too, but he wants my Flag so bad he'll do anything to get closer to it.
  14. I've no taught him to write a note or talk yet, But i'll get there
  15. All my days i have liberated my doos in Rural area's when tossing them myself. I'm now thinking of training from built up area's after my experience with the Peregrines the other day. Anyone see where i'm coming from???
  16. He picked up a tick when out walking and bit the hair off his back L leg before i knew he had it, it spoils his look a bit, otherwise i couldn't be happier with him. He sits, waits, fetches things and when he gets onto a scent out walking he will follow it right to the burrow, i'm very happy with him considering he isn't 5 months yet.
  17. In the 1st pic he is eyeing up my flag, in 2nd he is down a burrow when out walking 3rd and 4th he is climbing the weans Shute to get to the flag
  18. This is my mixture when i've made it up, and my doos eating the mix outside the loft.
  19. Sorry to hear this news he was a fine pigeon fancier. RIP.

That is 860.02 Higgie which would have put you in at 14th position, though not many LOFTS in front of you.
  22. Had my lot on the Newmains van again this morning. All yesterday's late comers were there nice and sharp today, nice to know they can learn!!
  23. I know nothing about these types but lot 2 looks to have tighter feathering so i'll take that as my vote.
  24. I have a mix i make up myself every year, my doos run up and down with their wings spread like young birds when i put it down to them, every day after feeding. I just drop a few handful's ( 4/5 )on the loft floor between 60 birds. I suppose what i give them would weigh about 6 Oz. Basically it is 50% grit and broken pick blocks/pick stones, the 0ther 50% is of kibbled peanuts, hemp, red band, hormoform, Red Vita minerals and black minerals. I get the bath out and mix about 20kg's of this and it does me for the old bird season, though my Yb's get it too after feeding.
  25. The latebred came late on in the afternoon along with a Cheq Hen i never missed!! In my defence she is sitting inside a crisp box on the loft floor and i hardly ever see her........... That's my excuse and i'm sticking to it
