  1. The hen is a half sister to the Ck i timed from Marlborough on Saturday, both from the same Jim Hannah hen.
  2. The Red Ck today with his hen, he's driving her hard just now.
  3. Must say i'm struggling for this weeks race from Huntingdon. With Eastbourne and Messac just round the corner these take priority over the club race. Think i'll be sending 7 that i have no specific plan for as yet for the final races, but if they come out of this 281mls they could go anywhere next
  4. Should point out this is the ONLY Red based pigeon in my lofts, if he scores fae Ypres there could be more
  5. Had a go at cutting his hair and failed miserably!! Someone at SNFC Clock checking said i should have gone to Spec Savers
  6. I know a VERY good fancier who spent top dollar buying a Chequer Cock from a Red hen.
  7. Its a Ck, was my 2nd pigeon from Marlborough at the weekend. Came SUNDAY 5pm!! Next stop Ypres
  8. This one came out of a Blood Red H paired to Cheqer.
  9. Seeing as you mentioned him George here is me and him on our Favourite perch
  10. A new litter from the same B!tch already??
  11. If you pair a Red to a Blue/Cheq or Dk Cheq the Red offspring will have darker plumage, whether they would be Red Cheqers or not i couldn't tell you
  12. I got a hen from Peterborough today about 4pm, swine is fresh as paint where ever its been, She certainly hasn't roughed it since Saturday. Me thinks she's been in a loft and has been liberated near my home. This hen has done well in the past But i'm inclined no to trust doos who enter another loft That was my last bird from this race 14/14.
  13. You could try the SHU office. 01698768939.
  14. I see you have a couple of handy doos on the Marlborough result too, Very Well Done, great weeks racing
  15. Ye had no a bad race yerself John well done, and a few quid into the kitty as well.
  16. I know where you're coming from when you say fanciers would lynch you for holding over, Damned if you do Damned if you don't situation. What fanciers really need to do is TRUST the race controllers to do the best job that they can and accept the reasons given for decisions made. Decisions that are made for the good of the convoy NOT the fanciers. Its a ridiculous state of affairs that a man gets Voted into a Job that NO ONE ELSE WANTS, then gets slated from the self same men who do not have the courage to take the job themselves. As usual the driving force behind bad races is Fanciers themselves jmo!
  17. Never mind aw the lovey dovey stuff I'M STILL GRSSIN YOU IN
  18. Well done George Mann you have done your self and your doos proud. A VERY SPECIAL congratulations to my good Friend Tam McCafferty from Salsburgh, a great wee guy and a TRUE GENTLEMAN. Tam lost his wife last year and this is the perfect tonic for him
  19. The New Zealand honey IB refers to is MANUKA HONEY. This is used to heal open wounds or sores, seen a story about a man who after surgery found his wound would not heal, 18 months the Docs tried to close it but to no avail, then they tried MANUKA honey on his leg and it healed completely in 6 weeks.
  20. I dropped 4 birds from 2 races, 1 from the Fed Peterborough race from 14 sent and 3 from SNFC Marlborough from 6 sent.
  21. A brilliant result for Vincie, a man who went out of his way to help me when i was on the verge of giving up on the game. A wee gentleman and a fine Pigeon Fancier
  22. IMO There is far far better opportunity to win from the distance in a small convoy of birds... Please do not take this opinion as a slight on the winners, on the contrary i think doos flying 550mls in a small convoy rely more on themselves rather than following the batch half the distance home. I think it highly Unlikely it will be won in the West with the SNFC. Mind this is JMO. Cheers.
  23. When Messac was democratically voted as the Gold Cup race i decided a wusnae sending her so gave her the season off to breed from her and hope for a more Easterly race point for the Gold Cup 2012, though no holding ma breath!!!! If i was racing her this year she would DEFINITELY have been sent on Saturday there so i;m kinda glad i gave her time out
  24. Aye to score the goals on a Saturday Where were you on Thursday Night at basketing?? i wanted you to put ma doos through again
  25. He neednae have bothered, when ye can play fitba as good as him looks go out the windae, and the Cheque book is extremely attractive!!!
