  1. Definitely 4................Maybe 5 or 6, nothing to shout about in the 4 Defo's, 2 were timed on the shift from Ypres but no nearly Early enough
  2. No probs with mine either Lindsay.
  3. I'd like to know what the EASIEST route is?? Answers on the back of a stamp please!
  4. Very sorry to hear this, i enjoyed going to this event for the best part of 20 years now Has to be said that although MANY many hands go to work on the show Clarke Smith stands out to me.
  5. My lot are young and still not tossed as yet, just starting to range in fact, i'm in no hurry though its only Yb's and if i get 2 or 3 races into them this year that'll do me and Them
  6. I can see where you are coming from with your question, whereas you could get away with not training old birds the youngsters need to learn what the basket is all about before sending them racing. Just basket training IMO is not enough but as stated earlier after they have all had a race under their wings you can concentrate on keeping them fit around the loft instead of risking their lives every day in the training basket. JMO, ATB.
  7. Thought you might Wullie I'll be there too, south west disnae hawd any fear for ma doos
  8. Well done to my mate Rab, (wings04) on a top 20 finish , good flying mate.
  9. I must be very fortunate as i've only had 1 hen come back with half her tail missing, she was hit as a Yb and Yearling as well, she is a Slate Wf so maybe the flash of white attracts Percy, other than her i've no had any return injured. Got 2 yearling Ck's taken by them my first toss this year though
  10. You should be very proud of yourself, and your bird, Very well done
  11. Well done Davy, every man in the Fed wishes he was you right now, Well done
  12. Sickener for them, a lot were hoping to get 4 good rounds of links golf before the open too.
  13. Pretty overcast in Lanarkshire but visibility still ok
  14. Am using wee tatties the noo, safer for the neighbours windows
  15. You need to chase them every time they land on that roof, the only place they should land is on the loft and then in. If you don't they will come from the race on a Saturday and sit up there looking atyou!! I go to extraordinary lengths to chase my Yb's from any roof they land on, they soon learn the only place "safe" to land is the loft. After they get the drift they never land on roof again
  16. 22 miles. singled them up.
  17. Suffered all day after a skin full of whisky last night Did manage to toss ma Clermont doos though so it wisnae a day wasted all together.
  18. ATB Cem, hope all goes well and he disnae keep you up all night when your baby sittin, instead of propping up the bar!!!
  19. You can do them any time Steven, an hour later you would't know they were dipped in anything.
  20. Personally i would like to see us revert to 4 sections, North South East West, since the introduction of Regions a, b , c , d , e, f, g There has been nothing but bickering over who should fly where. The intro of the alphabetical Regions was a mistake and now men canny even identify whether they have won a Section or Region, it got messed up ages ago and now its stuck but in my opinion we should revert to Old.
  21. What i do remember is that Hen won James his FIRST EVER diploma in SNFC races and went on to win the Gold Award for him
  22. I believe James McCourt from around here had a Red Hen that done it 5 times from Rennes, i done a wee report on this pigeon for the SNFC Centenary book ( I think!!) but canny just mind the Exact details though 5 times from Rennes rings bells, memory is getting terrible
