If you don't get what you want at Blackpool these birds might just suit you. The first 7 are Hens the last 5 Ck's. They are distance bred birds, mostly from John SHORT of Caldercruix in the Midland Fed. I was told John paid large sums of money for the parents of the majority of these birds, handling some of them i'm not surprised. These are all priced at a bargain £30 each.

No. 2 for me, only JUST though as 1 is a topper.

Great idea

In your position i wouldn't concern myself with how many races i could enter this year, i would tend to the breeding side and would have better numbers next season to go through the program with. You should always think long term, its the only way to build a good team of birds. JMO

They done something similar in the SNFC in the early eighties, only 12 birds max, it was designed to stop Eddie Newcombe dominating the results. Don't need to tell you, he just went on and won the Gold Cup and dominated the TOP of the result just the same. Because he is a fantastic pigeon man, no because he was sending a big team! The problem is that the MAJORITY won't win anything, they become jealous of the guys who are winning and look for Reasons/Excuses why they are getting beat year in year out, the LAST conclusion they would EVER come to would be looking at THEMSELVES for the reason they canny win. They then band together with only one focus in mind , stop the Big Man winning and ruin his enjoyment as a pigeon man. JMO

Some of you may know that i am on the SHU rules committee, the compulsory use of ETS has been discussed and there is no chance of this becoming a rule. The sport is in enough decline (numbers wise) without trying to impose extra costs on those who wish to use a traditional timing clocks.

Well i'm still of the opinion Khan was Cheated in the first fight and believe he will stop Peterson next time around. JMO Peterson did in fact withdraw the offer of a rematch after Khan's first appeal to the IBF but has been quiet about it since the WBA granted Khan the return fight. Ps. i'm no fan of Amir Khan but i'm less of a fan of Cheating

I know Mick McCormick goes into the boxes and runs his hands over the squabs every day and they don't move a muscle when he picks them up as fully grown birds. Treat to watch

I'm all for this type of measuring distances. At present there can be as much as a 200yd leeway from the correct measurement of the loft (so i've been told) that theoretically could be 400yd's of a swing from one loft to another, and that's More than enough to alter a true result.

Well done Ian, great response
