Race point needs moved to Newbury as in first inland national 1st 3 in the open were into the west the south and the east Lucky if the south clocks in an hour after the first birds which fly 40 mls further Just look at south and west velocities last few years only flying for section prizes Not at the Races it's a standing Joke .

I brought this subject up few months ago ,Irish were sitting at st Malo with 14 per basket ,we had 20 Viewing on web sites and magazine's of birds being watered and fed some trying to get over top of others when enlarged the photo's most ever counted being able to eat or drink at once was 7 , got backing from a convoyer who was with the birds and Derek said he would second it for me if put forward at agm ,very true what Davy said it never stops our winners but time we put our house in order omho
  13. Nae chance of my misses getting here hands on mine when. It arrives Del ,she's working nights at the hospital this week and in her bed all day
  14. Happy Birthday Young John
  15. Got to agree with walter's point regarding total figure of losses ,if a true figure were published of every lofts losses throughout the uk the figure would be mind blowing I lost 17 from loft flying before training commenced ,I then took 2 weeks holidays to properly school the team which at that point was 103 perfectly healthy youngsters with loads of space in the loft which could have accommodated many more which is frightening for someone like myself who only used to purchase 30 rings for more years than I care to remember ,Had a terrible time with continued falcon strike's ,then our yb racing has been shocking for use of a better word ,I have now 34 in the loft many of which are outstanding ,Now no way were all the 86 which have failed to return been all rubbish ,I have worked hard with my stock over the years which I am sure many who have visited will vouch for ,These losses not only financially are shocking ,Club members with similar losses one who owns a fantastic team of pigeons has only had one at clock time the last 2 weeks ,our fed started first race with 2800 plus in the lorry this week 390 The vast majority Lost I have seen the uncontrolled rise in falcons since I first got real trouble with them in 1991 that's 22 years of unchecked breeding multiply that one ,Find it unbelievable each week reading the pigeon magazine and scribe 's blaming every thing but the falcon ,I know for a fact that when I raced them in the seventies very very rarely lost a good pigeon and was always left with at least 24 out of 30 raced yb's .

  25. Yes correct Mick improper use and wrong dosage Should only be used when necessary I was told about the 2 very small drops onto the tongue of a very ill pigeon by who I regard as the most respected fancier in the uk and he was instructed of this by his very special friend wim peters enough said my friend I will continue to keep my birds in the best of health as I see fit and let others make there own decisions In the wrong hands a little knowledge is dangerous Ps the yb that I posted the picture of a few weeks back after nearly loosing its head to a falcon the vets did not expect it to survive after they stitched it together sent it home with my daughter with some baytril and it is flying with the others Atb mick
