  9. solid partition as birds would still be able to bill each other through the dowels and you can fly them on a widowhood system which will help you motivate your young birds

  16. i suppose a solution is to either have a 2 bird club and 1st 2 birds to a member get prizes and cards others just club positions no prize money or alternativley have a CHAMPION LEAGUE (A) with the four dominating ones and a NOVICE LEAGUE ( B ) and spread the prizes out

  21. The question is what gives you the pleasure of having pigeons? i have had fancy pigeons when i was a kid they were nice to look at and watch fly. This didnt give me a big adrenaline rush so became board. then i eventualy had my own home i was in same possition wondering whether i wanted rollers and tumblers or racing pigeons. After 6 weeks of been at the house 6 racing pigeons turned up so i got a old chest of drawers and made a trap reported them kept them in a shed and the fancier said i could keep them so then i bought a new loft ectra. In reply to training them once your ybs are ranging for around 2 hours they are ready to train usualy no more than 4 weeks before 1st race. You then basket them and let go down the line of flight in 5 mile incriments for example :2 x 5 mile 2 x 10 mile 2 x 15 mile 3 x 20 mile 3 x 30 mile. Then these birds should be ready to race in your club.
  22. sounds to me that the said fancier in question alegidly clocked in with no race birds home , surely this will lead to ets been the way to trap as rings are more secure than a rubber , obviously you know how they are, and its sad that there is this type of person in our sport , i hope the officals deal with this but i think its a hard one to prove , many fanciers dont bring there clocks in when have either missed or were out of good flying time , there are more questions than answers to this , maybe there should be a rule that all clocks must be return to marking station whether striked or not failure to do so , would result in all previous races that season be disqualified. But there is also the other side of the coin , would this fancier now get a fair hearing as it has already got out and public knowledge.
  23. you just look at fancy pigeons , racing pigeons require more time i.e training waiting from races ectra, hope you get sorted are you wanting fancy birds or Racing pigeons?
  24. hope you get sorted are you wanting fancy birds or Racing pigeons?
  25. these egg with a calcium depost on them feel rough and the shell eventualy gets softer and the gets flattened or leaks, i would personaly remove it and swap for a dummy egg as the egg could get stuck to the bird thats sitting it and then you will have to clean bird up if second egg same discard. This is to a calcium defficency in my opinion, add some live natural yoghurt to your feed or some soluable calcium to your water. Have you treated the birds recently as this can also cause this problem.
