do you think we would all benifit from one union ?
OLDYELLOW replied to OLDYELLOW's topic in Ideas & Theories
lets see how the vote goes and then take it from there i am willing to take whatever steps to better pigeon racing and get it reconised as a sport with one Union, most voters seem to agree with a one union for all .And i will be happy to appproach all unions to ask what they think on this matter , and hopefully ill have a few thousand emails to back up what im suggesting. -

as previously stated we need to take one step at a time in order to remove the draconian imprint of the past . I strongly believe as theres nearly 3 thousand members on this site yes a small percentage but surely the finds of a poll and everyones name loft number club and unions would give us something to present to all the unions.papers cheap enough to print all fanciers from there union to present to all unions then surely they would have to look at it or the other alternative is to start a new one for all.

During a usualy phone call to kirky he told me that he had advertised his Indian fantails at a farm pet shop and told me he had a phonecall from a lady with a dovecote and had lost one of her fantails to the hawk and would like to purchase one , but obviously the indians are too big and dont fly like garden fantails. So i suggested that i would put them on line on his behalf ( even tho at last Blackers had to walk ten mile to buy one ) no sooner had i hit the enter key on the keyboard mick was on the phone to kirky , when i tried to ring kirky he thought he was still on phone to gangster but was me had to explain that was me and said someone ring straight away. So just goes to show that the internet probably is the fastest way to sell , and im glad you like your Indian fantails enjoy , and ganster well done for going that ectra mile to do several favours at the same time top bloke.

probably looking fer owner to be clocked in that was 5th pub he tried lol

sorry to hijack your thread Damian but i believe with the petrol prices food bills and needless overheads ectra, pigeon racing needs a dam good shaking to put years of neglect and decline into another century, from union(s) to fanciers.

in my view that would be fine to have seperate liberations of different feds from same race points never said that they would all go together or would wish it , im a dreamer not a insane maniac lol

perhaps webmaster or someone could run a pole for one governing body? and another for 3 national sections for channel racing ? everyone voting and putting there name club / federation and union down would be interesting
-
hit the nail on the head phil if loft in your catchment then no reason to disallow

Here goes .................... Pigeon racing will never be a sport as there is more than one governing body , the whole infra-structure needs to change , we need all the unions to combine you can keep the su. gb. n.w.u and nehu rings , but have one central office , this would be cheaper to run and we would have one union . How many transporters are on the road many with greater capacity than they take yes we all pay for the empty space would this not benifit all ? I think we would all benifit from a organised racing programme to stop the clashing of birds . Club / fed races should be down to the federations as are current and all channel racing where appropiate should be combine into 3 divisons i.e eastern side western side and central taking into account of the existing fed boundarys. As for pigeon racing dying go to Blackers it's alive and kicking , but we need to move with the times or the nails will be out for the coffin. Many fanciers get disheartened by young bird losses but if clubs got together to train there would be far less losses , let ybs out late at night , train later on in day as race birds should be away by then and not clean your loft up when they pass.

got to agree find what are winning for other fanciers in your area , and buy from fanciers in other areas , heres a sneaky tip look at the results and see where the original rings were allocated you will then find there club and watch there results , then approach .

perhaps not cooking it till its well would be advisable , probably got caught in torential rain
-
perhaps as its a woodie, cook it good eating Bon apeitte
-
perhaps a wind up ?
-
probably an injured stoggie released by r.s.p.b , tag and released , so if re caught or found dead they would know the birds previous problems , just a guess. I know that some keep stoggies in avairys but cant see the reason for tagging
-
the bird has a green tag on its side has it anything on it ? and if you open the wing up it may have a stamp on but doubt as not a racing pigeon
