Froog
Good strains never go out of fashion, all the (new strains) all relate back to the top strains of many years ago, there is no magic wand and hey presto a new strain is born. paddymac
all the old strains of yesteryear, cattrysse, delbar, dordens, sion, out of fashion pigeons, is there anyone still got any of them and do they still get a turn out of them, ???This years NIPA French race from St Malo was a total disaster with the birds liberated in poor visibility and a strong west wind on the channel, only 10 birds were recorded in race time over the three day period and four of these brave birds all contained Delbar bloodlines. Roland
George's used to buy the best birds in Belgium whatever the strain. And many more places. His sister flew a good bird too. Incidentally George holds and has held many records in Belgium. After devastating the Kent amal etc. and going back he still flew a brilliant bird. O.K. he wasn't well like for buying originally from Delbar. Hence never given the credit there he deserved by a long chalk... But a better stockman and racer would be very hard to find.
