dunc50 Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 all the old strains of yesteryear, cattrysse, delbar, dordens, sion, out of fashion pigeons, is there anyone still got any of them and do they still get a turn out of them, ???
buster151 Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 Cattrysse are still winning for Colin Lloyd
Wiley Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 I’ve just introduced Westcott based pigeons from Mark Bulled
Froog Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 Good strains never go out of fashion, all the (new strains) all relate back to the top strains of many years ago, there is no magic wand and hey presto a new strain is born.
fieldwalker Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 they all have to come from somewhere...its who gets them and what races they want to win.Buschaert could hardly give them away at one time...sprint rubbish..wonder what ever happend to them???

leslie24williams49 Posted February 10, 2018 Report Posted February 10, 2018 What goes around comes around,

davebull Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 i got 5 delbar pairs off a late friend of mi dads ther what he bread for long distance but got sick and never got chance to ring some of them i got them free and few older ringed hens with some bit's of info cut out's form stud books a few magazine cut outs and lots of ped forms but i don't real understand most of the papers iv got 8ybs off them to test this year
Roland Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 George's used to buy the best birds in Belgium whatever the strain. And many more places. His sister flew a good bird too. Incidentally George holds and has held many records in Belgium. After devastating the Kent amal etc. and going back he still flew a brilliant bird. O.K. he wasn't well like for buying originally from Delbar. Hence never given the credit there he deserved by a long chalk... But a better stockman and racer would be very hard to find.
Adee1888 Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 I tried to find black Karl Herman pigeons I bought 6 back in the 90s of Bazil Beebe from horncastle but sadly he passed away best money I ever spend I terrorised the club with these birds would like to try them again but iv drew a blank canny find them at all
