flying fifer Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 Anyone help me with the dosage per litre of water cheers5ml per litre of water.
flying fifer Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 (edited) Cheers is it a 1 day treatmentSuggest make up fresh in the morning, feed birds twice, rather than full amount in 1 go. Shouldn't affect them i.e. vomiting, but should take in greater volume of medicated water.Sorry, yes 24hr treatment. Edited August 8, 2017 by flying fifer
STB Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 Anyone help me with the dosage per litre of water cheersWhat strength is yer moxy ? With hold water for 8 hours then add to drinker leave for 24 hours or untill all used repeat 10 days latter .
just ask me Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 As stb says there different strength moxidectin be careful
William Reid Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 The moxidectin mixed for pigeons is very easy to administer and has a very wide range and is most effective used every four to five weeks. JMHO .But like everything with racing pigeons you will have the top fanciers who have not treated their pigeons for years.
soupie Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 1mg/ml is 10ml per litre2mg/ml is 5ml per litre depends what strength yours is mate soupie
William Reid Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 The moxidectin I use and have advised other fanciers to use is 2mg and added to the water at 5ml per liter of water for 24hrs . The water should be left to stand the night before and grit and minerals removed for the length of the treatment. Again not to upset anyone this is only my opinion
ally mac Posted August 9, 2017 Report Posted August 9, 2017 Ive always used cydectin sheep drench which is 1mg and therefor 10ml to a litre, works well and doesnt put the birds up nor down.
aye ready Posted August 9, 2017 Author Report Posted August 9, 2017 Thanks lads for the replies looked up an old topic from a few years back when I asked the same question and it was 5ml/litre for 24 hrs anyway the test came back showing slight roundworm in the droppings so should be ok with this dosage but as rab says I'll do them again in 10 days time ðŸ‘
