Paul Mac 31 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 The whole thing is nothing short of a joke.. seriously.. I try and bite my tongue and just go where ever the majority wants to race.. course I have a preference like many do... but I can honestly say I don't think iv seen a more of a f@@k up.. no homework done what's so ever.. from race points ..to dates ..to the overall way it's been handled during and since the vote was passed...by our members and the top table The sad thing is ,, with numbers we have nowadays Feds and Clubs should be coming together no dividing My opinion is... vote some one in for a term..They make the decisions and stand or fall by them.... Paul Mac 31 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 (edited) was it not put in by your club very embarssing It was that tommyAs I say, we didn't even put our vote in, but from what I hear it was a near landslide for the west vote in Airdrie.. My personnal preferred route is East... the Fed will be lucky to hit anywhere near the numbers that were entered throughout last years programme..which imo with a tweek our two to a couple of race points is basically the best we have could have had. The disappoing thing is that it's nearly March and we still don't have a concrete race program Total carry on Edited February 23, 2017 by Paul Mac 31

King billy 2 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Tam check results,, every year we have went West the numbers are down 30 % over the first 8/9 racesIt's no surprise that every time this Fed has voted West,, we have had an EGM to go East in the same season for ybsYou said the numbers would be down because of west racing but it will be because of the losses last year down the east as I said before east or west dosent bother me aslong as where going with the national cheers
Paul Mac 31 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 You said the numbers would be down because of west racing but it will be because of the losses last year down the east as I said before east or west dosent bother me asking as where going with the national cheers I'll need to teach you how to read a result lolI'm the same have always went were the majority want to go,, but in my experience you can build a team down the East ,, down the West we have lost more good doos. That may not be the same for everyone, but you will get guys losing doos,,, year in year out where ever they go,,, I can only judge it on my own loft and birds entered in each race and the stats are there ,, print them out. Personally West I get a better distance of most,,, and I still don't want to go,,, but again I will go with the Vote. Linking up with Nationals should strictly be for channel racing,,, last time I checked it was called LRPF

Paul Mac 31 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 totally need this sorted as i tried to do this at the last agm so this shambles would not happen A way to get rid of this mess,, or to stop similar a mess happing, is when we pay our subs we vote,,, 379 members cast their vote. After that a race meeting ,, then set it in place for 3/4 years ,,, jumping about is doing no one any good,,, We have a luxury in that we still race in a big Federation with good competition What we need to do is bring it out the dark ages,,,
Paul Mac 31 Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 That's your personal opinion and your entitled to it mate but you can't have your cake and eat it only use it at the channel race 1 or none cheers None then,, the Fed are big enough to race from the channel on their own, with I'd say 70 % of the members not National minded. I do feel for guys having to split their teams in this case,, but then it comes down to personal goals mate.

sammy Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 Cumbria 1939 the breeding population of peregrine falcons was 41 pair this is counted by the conservationists as the true natural figure and the bench mark for any survey of numbers done in this area. Cumbria 1963 a breeding population of 6 pair Cumbria 1971 a breeding population of 21 pair Cumbria 1976 a breeding population of 43 pair (2 pair above the natural bench mark figure recognised by conservationists) Cumbria 1981 a breeding population of 59 pair (18 pair above the natural bench mark figure recognised by conservationists) Cumbria 1991 a breeding population of 95 pair (54 pair above the natural bench mark figure recognised by conservationists) Cumbria 1998 a breeding population of 100 pair (59 pair above the natural bench mark figure recognised by conservationists) In this period 1347 chicks where ringed in Cumbria 550 of them made it to breeding maturity !!!!!! The figure for 2014 is 75 pair this is attributed to the demise of pigeon fanciers within the area.they admit the significance of prey abundance coincides exactly with the reduction in racing pigeons within the area.an interesting fact as this proves the numbers of peregrines is dictated by its main food source.racing pigeon they also brought in a contingency plan.which was to site new artificial nests in every major city.they are moving these predators to areas where pigeon fanciers are still abundant.so the proof is there.its satisfying to know that the swing to south round flying smashed a big hole in the breeding cycle as well but the paramyxovirus issues of the early 80s played into there hands with north round flying same as the foot and mouth outbreak.if pigeon racing is to survive the powers that be need to recognise the significance of which route we fly.the issue with small Feds releasing birds from the same lib points needs to be addressed as well.the federations need to amalgamate and stop feeding these predators all through the day.a window of opportunity has arisen as a fancy we can smash a big hole in this conservation programme by implementing certain criteria.the welsh north road fanciers caught them on the hop when they changed route and it reduced the peregrine numbers in every area they flew through.someone should be employed by the fancy to sift through these figures and plot us a recognised safer route.then as the peregrines move in we change the route.going by previous route changes this can reduce the numbers by 40%.we must start helping ourselves.the figures don't lie.there is proof conservationists have plotted against the pigeon fraternity and used racing pigeons as an available food resource.his gives grounds for compensation if proved I now have the information that proves this if anybody from the regions of associations wants to get in touch I will pass on this information.or even the rapture alliance
