Seen it happen in Greenock town center ,although I booted the seagull about 20 ft in air ,it was trying to kill a wee squeaker running about road another older lady hit the seagull with her bag . I got hold of the wee bird and put it out of harms way but the seagull went right after it soon as left the scene . The video it looks like it's a pretty young bird maybe 4 weeks old .seagulls they are the real rats with wings .

Shocking,Its a good job its not something that happens often, I think it must have been wounded or something.

Don't know if anyone else seen the picture a few years back someone took at a wildlife park , a pelican grabbed a pigeon and tried to swallow it whole .

I had a Sparrowhawk in the front garden trying to catch the sparrows,It was really small took me a minute to realise because of its size.

Yip i would think so,wasn't sure how long till the sparrowhawk is fully grown thou.

 

It was fully grown and a male, they are very different sizes and hunt different birds.

Basically a Musket is a male sparrowhaw is it not, that cant hunt pigeons only the female sparrowhawk can.But at what stage can the female catch and hunt the pigeon.

Yes only the female, more or less from the day she is on the wing
