ally mac Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 Hi Chaps. need some advice please.doos have been flying great around loft, 1 1/2 to 2 hours daily. Didn't send to dunbar last week due to forecast. Gave them a toss from inverary today, 20 mile, they've been twice before and came well. Today they took ages, came in dribs and drabs, from 1 1/2 hours to 6 hours and still waiting on 9 from 51 including 2 two year olds that have raced last year. Cant understand it, was even wondering if they were just enjoying the fly. gave them 1/2 ounce in morning then took them and let them go at half two. All look fit and well. Question is, the ones that took a long time to get home should I not send them this Saturday, dunbar 116 mile, Bleedin odd, even the last one home tonight flew round loft for 15 minutes before she landed. Just a wee bit lost with what happened and whether to send the ones that were a long time on the wing. Al.
bullcock Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 No doubt a peregrine, if they are homing after 6 hours with no signs of being tired, they have gone to ground, flying 1-2 hours around the loft, they are well fit and ready, it is Going to be a tough race on Saturday with artic weather forecast, you need to decide what to send. Good luck.
