Guest Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Cant see any beneifit to normal fed members, who are not part of the national and are not intrested in national flying.could this not drasticaly reduce birdage from fed and in long run would be no adtvantage to the fed.

A lot of people in our fed are'nt in the national clubs though
ALF Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Hi Alf Nice to here from you Yes there will be central marking as usual Only problem is that the central marking clubs will have to ferry to a SNFC marking station This is not ideal as my club have no way of ferrying Maybe something could be worked out to uplift birds Cheers Homer 49 It's not ideal Homer and i do worry about uddinston club premises being able to cope with the numbers if a lot of our fed send through there ( if the newmains marking station does'nt go ahead ) but even then will 2 marking stations be enough if if the rest of the west section of the snfc are going to be using the marking stations aswell? :-/
Guest Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 A lot of people in our fed are'nt in the national clubs though Thats my point
ALF Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Thats my point But it's the Lanarkshire fed members we should be looking after here
Guest Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 But it's the Lanarkshire fed members we should be looking after here Read my post again mate thats what i am talking about.
Guest WINGS 04 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 But it's the Lanarkshire fed members we should be looking after here lanarkshire breakaway that says it all to me members not giving a flying f£$k about the fed but want all that is going in it

Hi Vinny Don't think that SNFC members will not duplicate back to the fed Personally I think there will be a 20% increase in birdage Cheers Homer 49
ALF Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 lanarkshire breakaway that says it all to me members not giving a flying f£$k about the fed but want all that is going in it There is'nt a breakaway so that rules that 1 out and Rab there are a hell of a lot of people who care about our fed mate

Delboy Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 Hi delboy Newmains is a possible addition for this race only Its been SUGGESTED that John Houston would be willing to oversee Newmains on this date Derek you and I know that Newmains is not a SNFC race marking station but the President and delegates of Lanarkshire hope by allowing this will increase the birdage of the SNFC The word I used was PLANNING The SNFC committee will decide if this is allowed Don't shoot the carrier pigeon ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Cheers Derek Homer 49 I dont disagree with this plan, if it gets us more people going to the race.
Delboy Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 The only concern about 2 marking stations is SECURITY and we all know the importance of that .SAY NO MORE
ALF Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 lanarkshire breakaway that says it all to me members not giving a flying f£$k about the fed but want all that is going in it Only want to know what's happening for my club members in my role as president of the club as i know not all of them will send through the national ps...my doos will be going through the snfc Alan
wullie semple Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 lanarkshire breakaway that says it all to me members not giving a flying f£$k about the fed but want all that is going in it rab this is not the case these members care about the fed but also care about there pigeons more there is no such thing as a breakaway and as for going with the s n f c this is the best thing the fed has come up with all the best and just lets get with the season ahead
Guest Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 I for one am quite disapointed that the fed is going with the snfc. The main reason for this is, i was going to send all my yearlings to this channel race, because of the safety of a large birdage comming into the one area.So it now looks like its maidstone for them. Now they will not get the experience of the channel race and will have to wait to next year to go with the national.

Guest Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 a think maidstone in my opinion is far enough for yearlings but then again its everyone to there own :) Was of same opinion, but have purchased some pigeons and on their pedigrees have noticed that in their breeding the yearlings were flown out to 700miles.
harky Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Was of same opinion, but have purchased some pigeons and on their pedigrees have noticed that in their breeding the yearlings were flown out to 700miles. well you can only try them but if i got a yearling out of maidstone i would surely be confident in it succeeding in flying from across the water the following year or better still trying it the following year as a three year old :)
