pjc Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Many years ago there was a member of the fed we flew in winning week in week out and was suspected of cheating, his club birds were rerubbered on the transporter and he still clocked in his original rubbers, whoops, dropped himself right in it! He then had a clearance sale before it could go to region! Phil
Guest shadow Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Trial by media is not on. time to put this thread to bed and let the officials sort it out
pjc Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 is that not the problem Shadow, the officials don't seem to be sorting it out?
tarzan Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 sadly it is things like this that kill off alot of fanciers ,if no action as been taken after two years by the snfc or anyone else,it seems theres no evidence to support any claims against said fancier .also been tried in what looks like a kangeroo court does not show the pigeon sport in a good light .this can rumble on for ever one side think this man cheated the other side no case to answer, rumours hessay can go on forever .things like this not only destroy clubs federations etc but also fanciers who can decide enough is enough not really knowing whats gone on and decide to leave this sport.you see this sort of thing in most clubs all over britain come end of the season when two groups dissagree on anything be it ets rumours someones a cheat someones using drugs you name it , you are doing a dis-service to the past winners also the future winners of these great races by constantly putiing it down ,what ever has gone on -no outcome can ever change the results ,the glory as gone the accolades given out ,a new champion will be crowned lets hope its you .
Fair Play Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Why don't the people who collected the "evidence" come on the site and put this issue to bed once and for all i have heard a lot of I have heard,I believe, someone told me, until I hear it from the "Horses Mouth" then I will take it with a pinch of salt. It is not too hard to join the site so please come forward and give it to us straight then we may have a positive result. This is tearing the sport apart up here lets put it to bed once and for all with a result that would make it "virtually" impossible to happen again.

Guest IB Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Doesn't really matter who is being accused of what now, I think it has gone far beyond that. The main issues for me:- (1) That should an investigation secure concrete proof that would stand up in a court of law, the danger is that we would still not secure a conviction. Why? Thank the current campaign of 'trial by whisper, innuendo, rumour' 'guilt by association', and the people behind the campaign. In my opinion it is extremely unlikely that any trial could be said to be fair given these circumstances. The latest example is that we are going to have 'the current proof' publicly aired in an open night in a pub. (2) The attempted blackening of anyone's character that happens to believe what is being done in the name of 'so called' justice is wrong. (3) People who work alongside the man in normal pigeon life have suddenly become accomplices to cheating. (4) Those people in office who have not achieved the desired result that the people behind the campaign want, (guilty) are called weak, people of straw, liars, asses, etc. (5) That the man's private life has been totally invaded. His character, health, sexuality etc have been openly torn to shreds publicly - simply because it is rumoured he is cheating. (6) The whole thing has made us a collective laughing stock. I hope that we can learn from this debacle and at least know in future how to set about getting to the bottom of allegations of dishonesty in a more professional way. The current campaign is nothing short of disgraceful, and the behaviour of those involved in keeping it going also leaves a lot to be desired.. your door might be the next one to get chapped, your daughter and grand-daughter shouted and sworn at, even although they do not live there, have nothing to do with pigeons, and you yourself are not at home. But that's 'well respected North West Federation' fanciers for you, going about their lawful business ... and another police matter.
Fair Play Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Showing so called footage could also bring a charge of "bringing the Sport in disrepute" the police will give you the legal side and stop anyone being charged with "Incitement" or "Homophobia" after reading some of the postings. If people are not man enough to bring about charges at club,Fed. or regional level it would seem the evidence is not strong enough and the rumour mill is running riot.
celtic Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Gangster would you stop shouting when you are replying.
Roland Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Many years ago there was a member of the fed we flew in winning week in week out and was suspected of cheating, his club birds were rerubbered on the transporter and he still clocked in his original rubbers, whoops, dropped himself right in it! He then had a clearance sale before it could go to region! Phil Same here... I know how he did it... His club members would keep asking me etc. and I'd say'Improbable' result. Yjey changed his rubbers twice and he clocked in with the old rubbers of course.
Webmaster Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 For the same reason as the PRO thread, this is now locked. I apologise for not spotting this sooner.
