rebel Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 the race controller packed in off his own back no one forced him out to my knowledge so some of the posts on this thread are out of order critisising fed members who where dissapointed about not racoing at the weekend
budgie Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 It certainly a sad state of affairs but lets wait and see what materializes at tommorrow nights delegate meeting. With regards to the racepoint this week common sense must prevail and only the Office Bearers can decide. The Fed requires assistance in this matter and no matter who gets appointed it will be short lived due to the mentality of some members who for whatever reasons have hidden agendas and are Hell Bent trying to demoralize and undermine certain individuals within the Fed.On a brighter note Saturday ,looks promising mainly dry at the start (need to get away 1st thing hopefully Wakefield) with rain coming in from the West but with South East Winds should leave the route clear up until lunchtime.Lets not forget what Jim Hannah has done for this Fed over the last 3 years and the pigeon sport in general. :(
weecunny Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 a hope the next one in the job doesent make his own mind up
HOMER49 Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Hi Never liked Wakefield to close to Ferrybridge power stations nos 1-2and 3 and the Drax power station The power lines that run east to west are fecking big and there is 5 lines within 1 mile Our birds have to cross these 6 miles from lib site TO MUCH TO SOON My vote will be Ripon then Leicester Cheers Homer 49

With this proposal we can carry on through the season with some HOPE.And as far as i am concerned this is the only viable option to secure the welfare of our yearlings.

Another option could well be if it is left to the new race controller to decide on Friday night/saturday morning were the pigeons are to be liberated, i.e. South wind then liberate from Newark 220 miles, West or North wind then liberate from Wakefield 175 miles, after all if you get a tail wind in Newark they will do it in less than 4 hours and if you get a head wind in Wakefield it will take them 4-5 hours. What good would it do liberating from Wakefield in a south wind and the pigeons doing it 3 hours or less when we are already 2 weeks behind and going to Leicester 250 miles next week.
REDROCKET Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 king billy you said weekend there did'nt you mean year lol and this 98%sh&*t that keeps getting mentioned if you have 73 doo's how many good one's do you have cos i cant do percentages unless i have a hundred of something.
Guest KING BILLY Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 put it another way then if you only breed of winners we would all only need 1 12bird basket the thing is we keep more to try and get more winners i no alot of fanicers that think first back to the loft is there winner so if you no what i am talking about your the first anyway hows big jock

budgie Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Lanarkshire Fed Young Birds had only 3-Kelsos,60mls 2-Otterburns 77mls and Hexam 90mls then jumped into Youg bird National Leicester 248 mls without any problems and good returns. What is the problem with jumping yearlings / Old Birds after four sprint races from 90mls to 177mls (Wakefield) then the following week into Leicester 248 mls.If they are Healthy and Fit Jump them if not leave them in the Dookit and wait for comeback sprint races. ;)
Guest pigeonboyno1 Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Have they decided where the race point is this weekend to see if its the jump or another sprint.
REDROCKET Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 i'll tell you all about returns next week thats a 2 week holiday the f**kers have had every bird in the loft that looks fit will be in the basket come friday night either the basket or the casserole dish.(ps thats if oor jimmy says it ok)lol
Guest bigda Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 i take it all the ones that have had, hexhan in on monday, or kelso, or tow law, this week are saying to the rest of the fed f-eck you, we are all right jack . there is nowt wrong with ripon then leicester, start thinking about the other members, not about your self it was your distance man that let you down, not the fed members, you will have time enough with your 400 birds to lose them, and i dont think you will have any more at ypres :-/ :-/ ripon is the race that i think is the fairest, when you consider the help you can get with the 5 bird club and the likes
