Guest uphallhen Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Hi Wrong Gareth Rankin was pushing for a Geraldy and nothing else Cheers Homer 49 The biggest fed in scotland and the rest of the feds in scotland are showing the lanarkshire the way forward in there new Geraldys when are the fed going to do something about the birds welfare, it's time to spend the money on a new Garaldy so get the finger out lanarkshire.
Guest bigda Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 i think any fabricator in Scotland could build as good as Geraldy if once seen and may even better it, the key things would be water 3 sides of baskets, extractor fans and expel fans, the basket we have would be adapted with corrugated paper or such like to stop dust flying about and may be aluminum ones brought in yearly to replace the wicker type

Guest uphallhen Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 well bigda what is your view on this north section.
duncandoo Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 i thought that not collectig bird from clubs and enforcing central marking was to save money to buy a transporter
Guest uphallhen Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 i thought that not collectig bird from clubs and enforcing central marking was to save money to buy a transporterDid no one tell you that it has been central marking for the last 17 years
duncandoo Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 we only get collected for about three races and all the rest at our own transport expence i think its about time the other clubs got the central marking instead of the priviliged few
Guest bigda Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 if thats what the fed wants well fine by me, but hope they would not restricted us in letting other clubs in to our section, we did not ask to be in the center section when it was founded, we had no control over it then as we have no control now, our success is being challenged although i say my self, we do not have the first drop of the doos, and would put up a £5,000 challenge with any member in the fed as to that being the case, in most of the races this year there are a few stuck on this idea, and are hard to explain to where the birds are first in to, they only look at the race result not the times of the first bird home
Guest bigda Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 i thought that not collectig bird from clubs and enforcing central marking was to save money to buy a transporter your right duncandoo but they put the money in the bag with the hole in it
duncandoo Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 bigda clarkston being in the centre section is the biggest joke in the history of the lanarkshire fed there was no thought put into it at all it was just a covenient way of getting another club in to pull the pennies in geographicaly its a joke
Guest bigda Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 bigda clarkston being in the centre section is the biggest joke in the history of the lanarkshire fed there was no thought put into it at all it was just a covenient way of getting another club in to pull the pennies in geographicaly its a joke the section they should have joined if all was fair was the east section, and the club newmains but it no good saying anything about it mate just now, you would not be able to get a cigarette paper between there teeth at this present time

Guest bigda Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 would like the competition, and the fed to thrive, and for no other reason, life is to short to get and restrict pigeons from all over as we are a dying breed bring it on ;D

Delboy Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 just wait till the glasgow boys get in ,Bigda and his father inlaw will be pulling there hair out. What makes you think that Glasgow members would join Lanarkshire?? They all are happy enough where they are, dont you think :-/ Glasgow applied to Lanarkshire and were knocked back. They are now an RPRA fed and I dont think it would enter their heads to approach Lanarkshire fed.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Hi Wrong Gareth Rankin was pushing for a Geraldy and nothing else Cheers Homer 49 Well Alex you go ahead and put it up at the AGM that we dont get a geraldy type vehicle and then propose that we the Lanarkshire members purchase a traditional type transporter that we have at present. :-/ cheers Gareth
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Hi Dougie If your telling me that a British company cannot build to Geraldy spec bull**** Cheers Homer 49 Alex you know as well as i do that that avenue has already been down and the company that was approached for a quote and keen for work because of the recession told us that it was too much hassle because of the design patents for the profiles and the cost compared to Geraldys would not have been beneficial to Lanarkshire federation. You could always get of your ar5e and find a company that would be willing to give us a quote bearing in mind that Geraldy have a proven product and this would need to be taken into account. > cheers Gareth
frank-123 Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Hi If it had not been for the y/bs lanarkshire would have lost money SNFC / lANARKSHIRE Newbury SNFC got all the birdage money Lanarkshire ZERO SNFC/ lANARKSHIRE Eastbourne Big loss for Lanarkshire due to prize money SNFC / Lanarkshire Ypres Small profit You may be aware the the SNFC charged non SNFC members £1.00 per pigeon this equates to £22.00 per basket for inland races a disgrace for transportation only newbury fed broke even eastbourne prize money was far to high so loss was made it must be changed 2010 ypres made a profit if you put it a different way it sounds a bit better than you portray it homer 49 or do you like being negative ? how much profit did lanarkshire make when they never duplicated into the snfc because i thought it was a heavy loss that why the snfc dulication option was taken up
Guest WINGS 04 Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 frank . i think the fed made 6000 last year
Guest bigda Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 could have made more, if the lanarkshire is prepared to pay £22 per basket think what that would make towards our new transporters so from now on our races over 250 mile will be £1 per bird ;D ;D we accepted it with the national as Pilgrims
