Paul Mac 31 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Also ur spot on with the trauma and stress these birds are goin through on a weekly bases.. we've seen right good racers go down due to it.. multiple winners that can only handle so much and pack in... wont even come out the loft..
sammy Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 It's not the race points or the terrain the birds have been flying there for 100 years.Peregrine Falcon Attacks Pigeons (HD): http://youtu.be/DMZO5XCM6sA Watch that video and think of the trauma they birds are facing with that not once but multiple times on the route home. :emoticon-0137-clapping: thats true frank ,have been having the same problem here with it thepast couple of months both cock and hen have lost 7 old birds about loft and the same with young birds and thinking of calling it a day getting fed up with it feeding these VERMIN as thats all they are ,and as for doing something forget it waste of time ,maybe if the fancy gets its head together and donates a couple of thousand pounds to the beggars in parliment like rspb do then we might getthe law changed but untill then yi either suffer whats going on or just rap it
Paul Mac 31 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Well if we're gonna move ...move as ybs... that surely that makes sense.. long term I have my fears...
frank-123 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Also ur spot on with the trauma and stress these birds are goin through on a weekly bases.. we've seen right good racers go down due to it.. multiple winners that can only handle so much and pack in... wont even come out the loft.. Paul the leading batches are getting hit. Heard lots of guys saying they have been getting doos first they never thought they would get.
Paul Mac 31 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Frank now im not wantin to sound big headed or blowin our own trumpet... we're capable of gettin a batch too the front results prove this...we had 9 fed winners out our 22 out yesterday and none are home... now between the 3 of us wee roughly know when we've got them spot...like most fanciers. ..so im convinced we've took a massive hit as well as moat of the fed..Solway up an hour after us...timing in 2 hours before us...hawks are on the ground on our doos
Delboy Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Well if we're gonna move ...move as ybs... that surely that makes sense.. long term I have my fears... Paul, you should start the ball rolling for the move to the east with the ybs. Get yer petition started Im sure you wont have any problem getting the signatures
bigjamie Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 paul i think the lanarkshire members should get together now and get things sorted were our ybs will be racing from get a meeting sorted out with each club member puting a vote in to see were the birds will be racing from we spend a lot of money trying to get decent birds for racing not to be slaughtered by these birds of prey i think its time for our fed to get things done now i for the sake of our ybs and the future of having birds left to race as yearlings
Paul Mac 31 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 We've always stayed out it del and went where the fed wanted to go and try win and do our best regardless... but this year has been the worst in our history.. everyones intitled to their opinions and say.... but we can only judge what happin in our back garden.. left scratchin our heads at times this year... I can honestly say that my ybs will not be going down this route.. too much time and effort goes into them to throw them away...
bigjamie Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 del they will have to do something mate the way things are going our birds will be going away in a transit van a lot of people think its there fed its the lanarkshire members fed
duncandoo Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 my opinion for what its worth is that if we kept our birds in for one racing season the hawk situationwould plummet and do a lot more damage than anything there breeding season would be a disaster the hawks would wipe out all bird stocks in britain and then the twitchers would be asking questions the very people that fund there foolish protection of these killers
Guest bigda Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 my opinion for what its worth is that if we kept our birds in for one racing season the hawk situationwould plummet and do a lot more damage than anything there breeding season would be a disaster the hawks would wipe out all bird stocks in britain and then the twitchers would be asking questions the very people that fund there foolish protection of these killers WOULD BE THE CORRECT THING TO DO, as there are loads that don't want to do anything at all, in helping the situation. a majority vote would sort it out one way or another. then we could have special races at special times of that year

The problem is Paul, most folk tell porkies about their returns and this in turn gives a false view of how the races have went. You know the ones im on about, they take their ets clock out the base station after timing a couple so nobody sees their real returns and the guys that have manual clocks when their clubs offered them free ets. I know folk that started with over 120 racers in your fed and are down to the bare bones but don't say they've lost a bird. Myself, the only dodgy race ive had is this week from the SNFC Maidstone, 9/17 but most of them are yearlings. The first ob ( excluding yrls) ive lost this year is at this race and I tell the truth like yourself. Its about time everyone got their act together and stopped acting like f kin azzholes to benefit the sports survival. Hope yer doos work in m8.
Delboy Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Correct del too many porkies get told F kin pet hate of mine Geo, childish pi sh .Kiddin themselves on imo.

Ive 19 doos hit by percies last 3 weeks and ive been very lucky as they have made it home to heal and race another day a lot of birds aint as fortunate watching the odd bird work through past hear today and there flying at 15mph nackered with the heat , a fekin kesteral could catch them in that state . Sad to say but on clear warm days percies young birds have the best feed going .

Its hard one to take mate... our team has been ruined...but lets hope fo the sake of the Ybs birds and the future of this sport surely we can all pull together and do whats right... for us pigeons isnt just a hobby .. its a way of life 365 days a year.. and has been bred into us for generations.. it tough to take when its out of ur hands... I agree something must be done across the board to insure the survival of our sport..

The doomen are like that. they might never win a race most of them, but the fact is you are not winning, AS MUCH FED WISE and that keeps them in a spirited mood. and to ADD 720 BIRDS IS CONTROLLING THE FEDERATION as where we fly from.
geordie1234 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 East racing will be back next season for sure
Guest bigda Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 East racing will be back next season for sure if you aint got, a race program worked out, dont expect to here a good one, on the day of the AGM GEORDIE.
Guest WINGS 04 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Wilson & Cairns we have 1 out of 10 in the fed and 1 out of 4 in the snfc SICK AS *expletive removed*

I never went to Bedhampton as I thought there was gonny be trouble at it, never faired much better at Maidstone either with 33% returns so far... The wind was the killer right on their noses ... never gonny be easy
jonl6280 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 ? So blame the route! Why not blame the new tranny with alloy crates that conduct heat and with poor ventilation enroute might be a prob! So what did these predators eat few seasons ago when we didn't race down there?? And remind us all why we voted for the west because of heavy losses down the east!A joke of a convoy (because a lot went to the national) 692 racing with a north west wind 10 hours plus on the wing that most doos can't do !! So let's all jump on the route blame , my *expletive removed* .
Guest bigda Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Danny thats is the best and honest response you have ever done. SOME SAY I AM TWISTED, but i do not hide behind a corkscrew. if the wee macs are loosing birds, the guys that don't change there race program, will be long gone and out of racing before the macs are. they are saying it as it is and they can reproduce winners how many out there can do that. its not the competition that is beating the leading doomen its the leading doos getting hit first most weeks. and that must be the true state of racing today. most lofts have birds with feathers missing so that tell you all you need to know
