Just to show that there was no difference last year for returns down the east and that some fanciers have short memories of how poor the racing was down the east, here is Low Waters entry from Newbury when they duplicated with the SNFC, so 2 races in one. Newbury 8th June 201311 Members sent 62 Birds http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/topic/67378-low-waters-hs-hamilton-lanarkshire/ Not exactly brilliant 8th June 2014 Low Waters have 43 pigeons away to the fed race this year and then add the 50 pigeons thats away to the national to the same distance, then this totals 93 this year compared to that of 62 pigeons last year on the same day. Alan your club are racing 50% more compared to that of last year. :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Big Davie Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 davy in the past only people going tae this race where flying for averages but its now a open race Aye but it's an open race competing against a national race, so I think considering this then the entry is not bad, if I recall correctly it also used to be a duplication race ( pooling ) a number of years back, and some guys will have split their teams like me with 9 at the national and 9 at the fed race and I've kept some at home for the coming distance races just in case we get a towsing with the birds that are out this weekend, historically guys also used this race to condition some of their national candidates before we ever had inland nationals.
