walterboswell59 Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 im going to pair my 2yr olds and 3yr old latebreds today just leaving the 8 pair ive picked to go to the gold cup and maybe the 600 mile race which is the same day as ypres never been to this race before in my 50 years keeping pigeons but only one way to fined out if they can do it the reason i have not sent before is the fact its nearly allways a two day race and when birds have to sleep out theres a lot of luck involved in where your bird sits down for the night and how long it sits in the morning i much prefer a race where the winning birds can get home on the night also i never thought i had the birds before so it will be something new to look forward to need to get some tips from big dell lol but if i do send ill be sending racers and not plodders so a learning curve for me and hopefully the ypres race the same day will save me getting bored sitting about for two or three days without seeing a bird coming ill pair these birds late march and see how it goes nothing ventured nothing gained eh
