fond memories of elgin club,it was about 1957 when i got friendly with jock donald and nearly every weekend would see me at his loft watching his birds homing, jock did not keep a big team and these osman logans and a few of the milne of aberdeen. he had an array of lovely trophies in his house thats what they flew for not money, there were always letters from fanciers wanting to buy but having a small team very few were sold, the loft would only be about 12 to 14 feet roof slopping forward to a small veranda on the front.the club hut was at the station on a friday i would give a hand to set the clocks.Sunday me and jock were of visiting local doomen and a pint or three here and there,on a weekend pass i did not go home i went to Jocks, a couple of names i remember were Sandy Mutch, and Jerry Spence,i think he was a butcher in Lossie ALL THE BEST ELGIN.
