Jock Ross 'BAND OF GOLD 3' 25th and my 'DIAZEPAN 1' 54th well done the scotish birds again jock ross 25th and wully donachie 54th but not much time between birds so dont be fooled by position had outstanding day friendly poeple even had the goats stew with ma beer great experience wully diazipan looking good for the big final came in like a bulletbest of luck in da final pal a day to remember told ya u would have a ball! glad the race was a good one far ya, some experience eh? well done to Pieter Oberholster first Uk bird home well done Pieter

Delboy Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Definitely a tough o.l.r to get your pigeons to the final, 196 left from 1415 entered, that's 13%, 13 birds in every 100 entered get there, very tough indeed especially with the furthest race being only 142 miles. The Scottish birds are down to 8%, not even 1 in every 10 entrants left and that's not a bad % compared to some. This is undoubtedly the most difficult o.l.r to compete in as most of it comes down to luck imo.I hope the UK birds are lucky in the final, especially the Scottish ones lol.
WulDon Posted March 16, 2014 Author Report Posted March 16, 2014 yes it is an extreme one loft race indeed, I see another has homed last night at 6.27pm making 197 pigeons for the Final at the moment from the original 1198 that went to the first training race... if you get a pigeon through to the Final (300km/180 miles) mostly flying over the Atlantic Ocean, then that is a result in itself, and a valued stock pair it bred from...GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY FOR THE FINAL EVENT!!
