showman Posted October 5, 2013 Author Report Posted October 5, 2013 Got a phone call tonight cursing me into hell and out of it again !! Why can't I make these myself he asked (with a bit of AngloSaxon mixed in)After a few ideas being transferred across the Irish Sea, I headed straight to the workshop to try the ideas we had come up with, realising with the new saw I bought on Friday it was possible (knackered the other one)So Alex this is what I came up with !! Started with 8" of 3x1.5 PAR. Set the end stop as required, adjusted the depth stop and adjusted blade to 30 degrees. Made a cut each side. Cut and fit 2 pieces of 4mm ply. These were a tight fit into the groove cut by the saw. Flushfit brackets.....just the job, as I want the perches removable. Attach 1 bracket to perch, the other where perch is to be located. And hey presto......the finished article !! Thanks Alex.....always good to have someone to bounce ideas off !!
billt Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Nice job Paul, the ones from Leefe come with bracket and are removable with pull out wings
