Youngbird Losses

after posting on my race team yesterday had gone well .

I let my 62 2nd round ybs out 12.30 and they went up quite high , there were 2 percies above them and they managed to split the batch roughly in half .

one half dropped down and landed on the loft the other batch headed of over the hill with the 2 percies at the back of them i didint get any back till 8.30 last night and they came in ones up till 9.15 when almost dark have had 3 more back today but 14 still awol . If they can do this to them flying at home what does it do on race days . The 2nd round yb have been well trained from dunbar peebles mussleburgh and elvanfoot with booth glasgow and lanarshire training plus private .

This is only the 2nd time the percies had a go at home this year and i lost 2 from the 2nd round when they were very young

so looses at minute are 16 missing from

124 ,

Rab as you know after last month,s .*expletive removed* up I've only been training them and not lost one of them as long as you get them back they will be better for it I.m.o.

good going rab i started with 39 had to cull 1 27 left 4 missing from yesterday

been very lucky this year percie only attaked twice at home last year it was every day for months on end and just about cleaned me out

your 2 have had every race Steve and been very steady , no been in the first 10 but never out of the first 20 every week sending up to 50 birds till sat , one was very lste 8.30pm no like him but he had been hit way percie so thats him finnished for season now but was actually going to stop him anyway as he was getting a bit loose in the feather . The nest m8 also a cock but looks like a hen is as tight as a drum so might get a crack again this week if in good nick . There both moulting out very black splashed now but lovely doos .
