ive come to the conclusion im jinxed when it comes to training my doos,

 

took 2 bad hits training old birds earlier in the year loosing about 14, yesterday youngsters get a 4 mile training toss 1st one and im still missing 12, getting sick of it now, maybe time to look at another hobby as this is p*ssIng me off

 

might take up shooting and use the enemy as targets, haha

tossed 23 and 21 10mns apart 10mls toss and now we are down to a total of 12 short none back hurt but next day they were shiting themselves when landed after exercise , watching the skys like crazy

Stick in John dreading starting myself but hard as it is don't give into them ,taking up shooting again come winter ma late dad was a gammie so miss the guns atb mick

Stick at it pal ! we all know hoo ye feel and yer right its getting beyond a joke !! iv taken time aff my work ti train mi young eens ! most folks take time off to relax and enjoy themselves not put themselves through mental stress !! came to the conclusion that if ye get a good toss its because some other poor buggers young eens are getting it !!

my first training toss for my younsters yesterday released at 0615 most came within the hour and a few through the day but dropped 9. Gone again this morning released 0635 still a few short, i must have dropped about 20 this year and not one reported

its soul destroying, startin tae get the better of me putting the hard work in and bang gone wiped out with the enemy

I know how you feel its gettingt harder every yeay.I lost 12 in two tosses ive started to let them go early in the morning and havent been hit by the hawks for the last 3 tosses. Training y/bs is the most stressful part of pigeon racing for me I cant wait till is over.

aye its defo getting harder year in year out, but today i got 11 of them back in one batch at lunch time?? where theyve been is a mystery and im sure they havent been in anywhere well not 11 of them?? young birds are defo the most stressful part of doo racing , where in ayrshire are you, im going to mauchline at the end of the month with a bit of luck visiting a friend

Probably gone to ground when percy struck, then got up together when they thaught the coast was clear, i have witnessed this before.

aye yi could weil be richt davie, i near fell aff ma seat when ma sis telt ma theres a batch oh doos just landed, think al maybe start dein fit sandy is dein & pit them up in sma batches, maybe cut the mayhem doon a bit, gled ti seee them hame

3 birds back after Monday's toss so this morning released 22 at 0610 and not here yet but i'm happy now it looks like the team has settled (fingers crossed :D )

took 38 yesterday, got 21 up to now, 2 missing tails and a broken suggests they have been hit
