Flat out Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 just to let you know 200 crate truck would need 1,200 pints of water that amounts to 150 gallon of water per day, and if that was adhered to more often there would be faster times and less losses so the nat should have went through 600 gallon of water did that happen you tell me or 15. 40 galon oil barrels of water 600 gallon is more like the amount o P*** that come out of yer mouth

Flat out Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 They hold more water that pigeons can get access to than any other vehicle within Scotland, 2 blue drinkers which were used at Maidstone only cover roughly 70% - 80% of the back of a basket, well that is if you can get 2 on, where as the Geraldy drinker is the full length of the crate and more to the point the point, the crate is 2 inches longer/wider than a wicker basket, no comparison when it comes to water available to our pigeons. Feel Mr Baird that your embarrassing yourself with your posts, everyone of your posts since you joined pigeonbasics, its all about self interest with you. Your the one that's getting paid when using wicker basket vehicles in a SNFC race. What a lot of sour grapes you have in yer mouth sir The problem being I think is you didn't price the Snfc racing well enough To compete Then again has Lanarkshire got operator licence for hire and reward Livestock in transit insurance Driver stock carrier permit group 1 for under 7 hrs from first animal or bird loaded onto truck Group 3 for over 7 hrs Group 4 for international So when you can say yes to all the above roll on lad What would happen if vosa pulled your transporters over and found out you was working for hire and reward I tell you shall I park up in corner there lad you can liberate at the bottom of the yard ( bettock) then get lowloader in and head home I have worked in livestock transport as 30 years(I think your into taxis ) stick to what you know is the rule of thumb down here We could do with more boys like you mr Baird and mr young keep the good work up lads

Have you told the same crap your spouting to the other feds that have transported the SNFC for the last 10 years, NO you haven't because you would rather threaten Lanarkshire to try and keep away from your business, that is bringing you and your company a wage from the SNFC. I have taken all the necessary steps to make sure Lanarkshire do everything legal and above board, now if you wish to interpret the operators licence to suit your own views then go ahead. Regards to price, Lanarkshires quote for all races, would have saved thousands for the SNFC, so i look forward to seeing the balance sheet at the 2014 agm, as last years was a disgrace. Anyway, it was well known that Lanarkshire wasn't going to be successful with any tender, done deal well before it came to a committee decision, in fact it was known before the end of last year, but i had hoped that common sense would prevailed and that the SNFC pigeons could go in the best transportation available. I will repeat, do not threaten Lanarkshire that they are doing something untowards regarding operators licencees, your post is an act of desperation, wouldn't have thought you would have stooped to this level John.

DEFRAhas all ready confirmed that, as they did not want a fight with the farmers.
geordie1234 Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 Is it true Lanarkshire's tender was £7500 cheaper that what we are away with?
K J Young Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 As i have never seen the new lanarkshire transporters first hand only pics on the web site , where do the drivers / convoyers sleep when away with the birds

Henrik Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 I,ve asked this question before and never got an answer yet, what are the dimensions of the crates on the Lanarkshire motors, Height, Width and Depth, as maybe the number of birds per basket would need adjusted, also I saw the video of lib on you-tube and dont like the birds standing on bare cardboard and droppings, at least with shavings these dry up some of the mess, can you put shavings in these crates? Myself I am happy with wicker baskets and shavings, and before anyone jumps on me dont have an agenda as we dont own a transporter, and I dont own a haulage company
