Guest Gareth Rankin Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 With convoying with the MNFC for the longest SNFC race, then it looks like we will be going to a new racepoint called Ancenis, it lies 20 miles North east of Nantes, and approx 20 miles shorter than Tours. (591 miles approx to Larkhall)

If it is,it is a complete disgrace that the guys sending to the longest SNFC race don't *expletive removed* know where its from.THERE IS NOTHING ON THE SNFC WEB PAGE ABOUT THE CHANGE

The website wasn't updated because the committee were working on Alencon Dougie but we should know where our top doos are going, 6 days before marking expletive remove.

I no what your saying mate, but the line was still taking birds at the cost owe the fancier, and its no cheap, and wasnt being updated.

PS I just saw your post last night about Lindsay's doo - wasn't us we are next door in Stevenston - posted the time and place quickly as was on train to London at the time wasn't sure of it was Mark Findlay or Lindsay as they both had one (Mark at 16.09) Be nice to see another good one for the West at the longest race... Guest IB Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 Aye a wis just havin a crack Del, I wonder if the Committee knew about it before Gareth posted it. By the sounds of it, it's one of they Worst Kept Secrets!!I'm no stickin up for them but maybe they didnae But i bet they know now!! Apologies for not putting this up as soon as I was told about it - on the night of the Maidstone emergency meeting. I posted on Maidstone that night and it was that race that fully occupied my mind. That was well after Gareth's post and as the news was already out on here, it would have been old news. I was asked this week if I knew how to upgrade/update the website and the answer to that is NO - I'm dead rusty. It's been 13 years since I did any computing work (at Uni) but once I've been taken through the website I'll try and get the backlog on. As was obvious on Maidstone raceday there is only one person who can update it at the mo, and he was organising Alencon transport and at a Marking Station during the Maidstone race. None of us saw our birds home from that race.
Henrik Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 First I knew about this was when Gareth posted it as well and I never saw my doo from Maidstone either, had to clean baskets for Alencon as somebody at Newhouse took it upon themselves to take the clean ones for there that were meant to come to us as Newhouse dont start marking till later.

You deserve a medal Bobby, as do many of the committee, keep up the good work.
Delboy Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 Bobby, how the fek are you boys the last to know things. Surely the committee is meant to decide these things?? Its the same as Cheltenham last year, most of the committee knew fek all of what was happening

Delboy Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 Dunno Del but the decision to move was made by the MNFC, maybe something wrong at Tours or couldnt get booked, I never think to look at these other websites but maybe I should Nah m8, you should've been told about any changes immediately. Guest IB Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 MNFC have an article on page 20 of BHW dated 28th June on the reason for shifting from Tours to Ancenis. I also see another good reason - a contact / relationship with Ancenis (very much like our own with Ypres) which IMO will help to make it very popular in the future.
