well done stuart think he will be 1st fed AGAIN

Posted

Yes, full credit to stuart once again. Credit too and worthy of a mention is Tony McFarlane with a possible 2nd Fed? Tony missed the first race, was 4th and 5th fed next race, then 4th and 5th Fed again and a probable 2nd Fed this race. Well done Tony mate:)

I am surprised there has been no mention by anyone on how bad a race this was for many? There were a lot of unhappy faces in my club including myself and 2 hours after stuarts first bird there were lots of birds still not back. I only sent 5 myself but had only one back by the time we had to go to the club and others were in the same boat. I dismantled my clock an hour after the first bird back so never clocked in at all and the same for another member. I eventually got 4 of the 5 back but one still missing was my 11th Fed the week prior. A few birds have worked their way back now but many are still missing. Where are they now? God knows!

Looking at the club results of others it seems to have been an all over bad race but no comments re this?

Not sure if I will be racing this week as I need to hold some birds back for next year or I will be back to square one again. Maybe send one or two but we shall see. If not then I will try to get a copy of the result early enough to put on PB so bear with me if its not on till later:)

yes a well done sturt birds flying well for him

i can,t say it was bad race for myself as had 21 out 29 before i left to do clocks (clocks done 1hour of 1st bird) all bar 1 in loft when i got back with clock .the 1 i was down was their Monday morning . so been 1 of the lucky ones.

i would sugest not to stop racing.as we are just at the 150 mile mark if you stop now and keep for next year a long way off.then race next year get out further and birds go down.better to have only a few that have proved it than more that have not.only my opinion as you will know your own birds.best of luck in what you do

Yeah unsure reason for it but seemed a small amount got through then another lload and we were same at our club! Can't mind everyone's returns at clock but I was 6\20. I ended up 19\20 and most fanciers ended up with decent returns but they were well broke up! And this sat aint looking too promising! There will always be some fanciers had a great race with bulk of team in no time but majority took and age to get there returns

Simple Brian, fitness. Your birds had to work a bit on Sunday and some were better equipped to do it than others. They'll be tighter for it this week and should do okay after a working day!

Yeah I'd agree there Andy, I believe if one is home to loft then the rest should too.
