Was out with the dogs earlier and the wind is already turning Northerly, and very much colder. Was intending sending my lot this week but my intentions have changed with the wind!! I would rather keep them fit for next week, or the following one for that matter than Ruin them this week in these Cold winds for the next month, or even More for some doos!!

For what its worth ma advice is for all PB members to be very careful no to put all yer Eggs in one Basket, especially our members who like myself have had one eye on the jump for next week, a bird in the Hand and so on!!

Just out the loft and i've picked out 12 to send, my original plan as said above was to empty the loft (40'ish) but even now its VERY cold and that's at ground level, where we are less exposed than the doos flying 50/100 feet in the sky. Higher they go the colder it'll get too, so Caution is my mantra for this race

My only worry is if it is still cold next weekend again??? They will have to go sometime so sent 26 with a good few hens left in the loft ...

That was the point I was making earlier, what if it is cold next week and the week after,we were lucky we had a lovely day last week when they all went and we are doing the same this week and when they have had 2 races we can then pick and choose and if they do get a hard race tomorrow then they will get a good rest, there would then be no need to send them back next week

john funny enough was reading somthing about planes and altitude the other day and it was saying that the air temp only drops 1degree centigrade every 500ft you go up so if it 10 degrees on ground level its 8 degrees a 1000ft food for thought m8 :emoticon-0167-beer:

The higher they go, the more fuel they save, then they just glide into where they are landing, :emoticon-0140-rofl:
