Snap, was up there at 9 soon as I dropped kids at school. Stock birds were claiming sat on 12 day old chicks. Back up at dinner time to check will be back up at 4:30 again to make sure it isn't iced over before nightfall. Times like this I envy people with lofts electric etc in garden. Joys of allotments eh

Not the weather for keeping pigeons, Bloody awful having to mess about with water and stuff at 6am in a morning and then do the same when i get home :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Working at Hinckley point in Somerset gale force wind and bitter cold with it glad to be finished for the day and warming up with a nice cold beer.

IT was that cold even the doos didn't want to be outside l have young out just getting strong on the wing so have to gaurd them from bloody neibours cats so l was freezing my *expletive removed* off

frozen drinkers here too. as for the snow showers they are snow blizzards on and off all day long. i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw someones pigeons out then the blizzards returned and they didn't have a clue where they where. was glad to get home and soak in a nice warm bath to defrost my hands and feet.

frozen drinkers again today ,however ,the snow has all but melted away this afternoon.lets just hope it was a "blip".

couldnt quite get round that one Keith , i have made a decision today ,,,,,,, to kick them out anyway .have been getting a little fed up with the weather ,and having them locked up for so long :animatedpigeons:

 

 

yes andy,they need to be out now mate,4 weeks here till the 1st race, if these cold east winds are here then we can look out, don't want a repeat of last years early races :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

we have "pope hat" drinkers in the white doo,s lofts ,on a good layer of easibed ,and they dont freeze unless below 8 degrees ,they were frozen today :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

first 3 races last year were North East winds ,was predicted then it would be that way for the next decade brrrrrr
