Last night i took the dogs out, called onto allotment at about 9:45 And everything was fine, No one about. Gone on this morning at about 10am, Someone had already been on before me, smashed two lock of my sheds, Had a good look around, Took a few screw drivers, a wall clock and a old coat i wear when it's cold. shows how foolish some people are, Just wish they'd been about when i was on the *****!

I am sorry to hear that but it has got to the stage that we can expect this vermin to pay us a visit at any time. I am like you because if I catch anybody messing about on my property I will do them serious damage regardless of the warnings from the Police. I have razor barb on some of my outside boundries and I hope it cuts the heck out of anyone who tries to climb over.

Cheers, Luckily they've kept away from my birds. I have razor blade all over the front, And at the back, I think they've go in through next door, If i catch anyone they'll be hit with something heavy no doubt about that, i think it's druggies or alcoholics looking for some cash or something, Just a mess about having to sort everything back out when i could be doing something useful with my time, Atb Andy

several boards with 4 inch nails driven through on the ground around the door is a good deterrant also.

Once they have the impression that they can be injury they will steer clear.

Even pigeon dirt spread about works as they don't like it on their trendy footwear.

Buy a big tin of axle grease and slobber it on the top of all your fences and gates and possible access points where they could climb in, i was getting some problems and that's what i did with no problems now for over a year ( touch wood ) if they are youngsters or youths it takes some explaining why their good and expensive gear is covered in grease when they get home to their parents, but got to make your normal entry point as secure as possible so they can't wrench the lock easily.

cheers for the advice guys, The front off my garden is about 7ft hight fence, With a secure gate, I only re did last year and the from one at to the other it's covered in razor wite and barb wire, Next door isn't secure as mine and i think thats how they've got in, I've manged to secure it for today but i'll make it 100% this week, i've even managed to have a word with the allotment office who said they'll try and sort something out, Just not a nice thing to see when you go on allotment, Atb, Andy

I think it is a good idea to have all kinds of gadgets to help you detect that someone is about but in the end you will have to make a stand. No words, just give them a good hiding ideally with a baseball bat. I have found that these imbeciles need that to wake them up and concentrate their minds. I doubt if you will ever teach them either manners or decency but you can teach them to respect you.

Totally agree, I have been told that people think it was drug addicts looking for stuff to sell to get a fix. if i was to catch them in the

act they'd not want to come back i don't think. With the weather and stuff i haven't managed to fix the side up 100% im hoping to get it

done over the weekend, at the min it's just a bit of a bodge but it'll do i think for a few days, Atb Andy

Best kind of deterrent for all types of vermin is our four legged friends. Hope you catch the "RATS" and dish out the appropriate punishment

Council site, not allowed dog which is a pitty! I'd love a big scary dog to keep them off, I have two geese which keeps people off during

day, Even fellow fanciers are terrified of them haha, When i 1st got them council wasn't liking them and gave me 28 days to get rid, they don't understand the value of pigeons and the trouble we'd go to protect them, Atb Andy
